Growing in a toolbox?

I'm trying to grow a plant, but I can only grow in a very small place, and it needs to be discreet. I'm thinking about this toolbox I have. It's about 2.5 feet wide, 10" tall, and 10" deep. Is there any way to grow a plant outwards instead of upwards? Can I just keep trimming it when it gets too tall? I'm going to use cold cathodes, which produce virtually no heat at all, and they're only 1/2 inch thick. I'm going to stick them to the inside of the lid. But can I so this? Will the plant grow sideways? How much bud could I get off of a plant that small? What it I plant like 4 plants, each 6" away from the next? I really need to keep it discreet, and this seems like the best way. Plus, I can padlock the box.

Dont even waste your time dude. Need more light and more room then that. It will probaly die before it even gets tall enough. Have you considered an outside grow maybe in the woods or near a creek.

hey!

im doing pretty much what you want to do right now.. i have 2 plants in a box about 1ftx1ftx2ft.. but its standing on its side, so its 2ft tall. I have one of those spiral compact fluorescent lights in there (40w). My plants just recently showed their sex.. I took cuttings of the female and i am currently trying to root them. Once they root im gunna get rid of the mothers and try to grow one of them out a little and flower (all in that box).. check out my last post, I have some pics of the plants

ps- i also built in an exhause fan on the box.. dont forget that.. it would probably get very hot in there without one

not a good idea. keep the mother and flower the fuck out of her. no point getting rid of a perfectly good plant! and if your new clones fuck it, what then?!

i have to get rid of them.. i have no other space than that box.. which is why im taking clones in the first place. the mothers have been the size of the box, and touching the light for a while already, i've been bending them to keep them away, so they're crooked as fuck lol.. but relatively healthy i think.

this is my first grow.. anybody have any idea how much I could expect to harvest from a 2 foot plant?

bad idea, rather get a steal barrel and fix a padlock to this, that toolbox is far to small for anything, to grow you will need 3 feed at least, rather go with 4'.
get a standard barrel, 4ft high, paint that white and grow in this, still a worst set up but better than that stupid toll box.

better would be a closet grow box, go with videoman's design and add a padlock to it and you are more then fine
