Growtent next to water heater?????

I'm looking into growing and i only have 1-2 places i could possibly grow. The first option is out of the way and is next my water heater. The 2nd is sort of obvious but under my basement stairs, i would need to put it in a cabinet.
My question is if i should have my tent next to my gas water heater and if thats a smart idea.
Please help and comment

Edit: My tent is 2x2 Lights: florescent for veg and 250watt or 400w for flower. and thankfully i have someone coming out and hes going to inspect my water heater perfect timing for my grow and all. In my opinion i think it's safe but im going to make there is no flamable nuts around it.

How big is the tent and light?

I was kinda wondering that too.. don't water heaters need to be inspected every couple years? or is that only during installation?

what happens when the water heater shits the bed ?? water everywhere, you'll need to replace it and what else ??

water heater inspector.......sign me up!
you'd get some increased CO2 from it being close to the heater.....lol. but.....no tent near fire. or is it electric??? that would be different i think.....
