It's too bad you chopped so early. Despite all the claims hardly anything finishes in 8 weeks and those claiming to have harvested that soon most likely harvested way too early.

I just harvested an OG Kush. They say 7-8 weeks. I let it go 12 weeks and it was worth the wait.

Don't be in a rush to harvest in the future and ignore breeder times and that stupid trichome chart so many think is the gold standard. You can tell when a plant is done without the need to look at trichomes.

OP, best thing you can do as a grower is focus purely on quality, and harvesting at the correct time seems to be one of the hardest parts for home growers to get right. People like to make jokes, but it's all in good fun and it's based in truth. Once you get the harvest time down, you'll be knocking out killer bud! If you think that bud you just harvested is good, just wait until you let it go until it's FULLY ripe-but here's the thing-some people REFUSE to let their bud get ripe enough. I know some amazing old growers who have prematurely harvested their crops for 30 years, they just refuse to admit that they're doing that part of their grow wrong. As home growers we need to blow the dispensary weed out of the water, otherwise, what is the point? In the first 5 pages of RIU there are DOZENS of examples of bud harvested too soon and not ONE of bud being harvested too late.
