oh that sound good, its just im sure i can remember reading somewhere once that bark from a certain tree isnt good for cannabis but im sure that stuff is fine if it was already in the stuff you bought.
 
I bet your right, its probably pine bark. v12 was telling me pine needles had a high or low ph, can't remember which one. I bet there is some the plants would love though!

The scotts ingredients say it has sphagnum peat moss, and organic forest products and or rice hulls, don't no what they are. Says its good for seedling and I bought it cause it has NO NUTES! I hate having nutes in the medium. So hard to control. I'm gonna post some pics later, just a lil update.

Pine needles are acidic. That one I know from landscaping right off. Looking forward to some pics.

The westlands advance i use works great and that has added nute i think, a lot easier i find as i have never had a problem just start feeding after 3-4 weeks or once you start flowering, i would look in to those bark pieces gum maybe im wrong? your in america aint you?
 
Oh, and I sifted about 90% of the bark out of the transplant mix. I will pull it out of the cup as I transplant the LS too. Want to play it safe here this time!!
 
right on man. i just germed an auto blueberry femm. maybe now ill have 2 going haha. do you think growth is a tad slower with the cmh?
 
I saw your temp is at 84. Does it get higher? I noticed with my girls they slow down over 86 or so and come to a screeching halt at about 95. My current girls were 3" tall for about 3 months, but they bounced back just fine. I'm guessing that played big part in Tia going hermie. I'm a little worried about Ashley because while she was vegging she never had complete darkness. I kept her in a closet with the door open and the main room always had a light on to mask the glow of the UFO when her light was on. So far she looks great though.

Anyways back to the temp thing. Does it get higher? What kind of exhaust fan are you using?
 
That's one of 3 sensors, and it hasn't went over 84 in a few weeks prob. It has spots of 86! But I don't think its a prob yet.

thats good that you ditched the bark gum :) like you said gotta play it safe and rule out anything that may cause problems. And im sure your temps are fine aslong as there air moving through that case nicely it shouldnt cause a problem, up in my loft in the summer it was over 100f for a week and my plants were thriving :) one day it hit 107f!!!!!!

hey fellow growers! i have a question for ya's! i am wondering if the next watering of the bag seed if y'all think i could feed her at less than qtr strength? i have dyna-gro foliage pro, 9-3-6, and it has ALL macro and micro nutes in it. that is really the reason i want to feed, to make sure it has ALL it needs, not just for the big 3 ya know.

i am not in a rush, but want some opinions before i do it. it is still small, so maybe i should wait a few more waterings. it would be Sunday probably before I did it anyway.

i aint gonna do the LS until i see a 2 to 3 more nodes.
 
Just my 2c gum, but I'd only consider feeding the old girl at this point. She has no cotyledons so all her food is coming from the root system. I wait until those cotyledons are spent before I start with the nutes.
 
thanks v12, thats just what i was thinking. i think she has recovered well enough to be able to handle it. it will be tomorrow or monday before she needs feeding anyhow, so I can judge more then too.
 
Yeah, the older one could probably handle the feeding. Especially at such a low dose. Just take it slow by giving her small doses and spread her feedings apart pretty far to begin with and she should do fine.
 
hey folks. i transplanted the Lemon Skunk before it got to much taller. it was taller than the soil was deep, and sure enough the root had got to the bottom and stuck to a hole in the cup. soil crumbled up a bit, but i got it out and into its new home safe. this is day 6 for it. i think this pot is just under 2 quarts.

oh, i will wrap this container once the roots show. i like how MS and v12 use the clear and can monitor the roots, and we always get the "Simply" juice containers.
