Pine needles are acidic. That one I know from landscaping right off. Looking forward to some pics.I bet your right, its probably pine bark. v12 was telling me pine needles had a high or low ph, can't remember which one. I bet there is some the plants would love though!
The scotts ingredients say it has sphagnum peat moss, and organic forest products and or rice hulls, don't no what they are. Says its good for seedling and I bought it cause it has NO NUTES! I hate having nutes in the medium. So hard to control. I'm gonna post some pics later, just a lil update.

From what I know needles and Bark are both acidic. Not sure about the core of it's wood.so do you think the tree and other parts of it are too?
That's one of 3 sensors, and it hasn't went over 84 in a few weeks prob. It has spots of 86! But I don't think its a prob yet.
