Yes it sucks, its worth it in the end usually. Poison Ivy, carrying in soil, hauling water, jagger bushes, snakes, transplanting plants, etc, etc.. It all sucks. But if your plants make it to the end that backpack full of bud is great to bring home.

Im not really worried about them near my plants, id probably welcome it, but Ive stepped on a couple and been bitten a couple times. Luckily never by a copperhead, which are the most dangerous snakes in my parts. I always wear pants now when I go to the spots, no matter how hot it is , because of the snakes and poison ivy.

yeah .. copperheads are the only ones where i live too (mid-eastern US) .. say timber rattle snakes are around here too but i will NEVER see one .. thorns, vines, **NETTLES**, and bugs are about my only issues .. lol and the all too common deer, squirrel, and pesky pot eaters

crikey if copperheads are your most poisonous you dont have much to worry about then do you.
me i have to put up with tiger snakes,dugites,brown snakes,death adders,and the red bellied black snake as well as the copper head and even the odd masters snake.

i dunno whats with you guys, but i love guerrilla growing. i just hiked in about 95 pounds worth of soil and water up a giant hill and prepared my plot for a total of 4 hours. I realized that its not just the growing that I love, I love being outdoors and doing hard work that will (hopefully) pay off. I love guerrilla growing

I think your copperheads are probably different from north american ones...I'd be more worried about those brown spiders!

if you're in enforcement land, guerilla is the only way to go...hell; I still do just cause of rippers!
to get rid of wild animals i was told to wear a sock around fora couple days get it real nasty then cut it up and put it near your crop, i did it and it seems to work out fine so far

Maybe I'll try that! I have a spot picked out and am gonna transplant a bunch of seedlings out into it!
It all depends on the site and the grower......i wont say my age but im a sophmore in highschool and i find growing outdoors fun and not that much of a pain in the ass...
I have no troubles getting to my site....no animals....no dangerous plants...and its at walking distance from my house. I even have a fountain near the site that i take water from....
