just got my 400w hps last night wow im glad to see that orange again! but on a side note i ran the light all night and its currently running 82-87. is this a big problem i do have fans from wallys world in there 2 about 6 in" in diameter. but my question is should i get a inline fan or squirrel cage? ive looked on ebay but unsure which ones are good or not.. not trying to spend 300 on an inline fan at hydro store in town my buddy said he got his for 30 dollars off ebay and he uses 1000w and his closet ran cool.



1....... do i need to worry about those temps rlly enough to buy a inline or squirrel cage fan? 82-87

2......which should i get if so and where (rlly not trying to spend over 80 for the fan itself....its just a fucking fan!!!!!)

i dont think it will bother your plants too much.. as long as the tops of the plants dont get too hot.


go to ebay for sure. but its not that big of a deal.. the temps will be better when u start flowering, if they are on for half the day.

Up to around 85 or so fine with the plants.I wouldn't worry as long you have air flow around them. I only start to worry when the temps over 90. Good Luck.

When i got my 250w HPS light and put it in my little grow room that measures 22inX31inX5ft tall. It would send the temps up into the 90's. So i made a cooltube for the light and use a pc fan to cool the light and then i got one of those 6in inline fans from a local heating and air conditioning supply stores for like 30$ and i use it to exhaust the heat to the outside and my temps with the door closed stays around 77f. But it also depends on how warm it is in your house if your intake for the room is pulling air from the inside of the house. If i run my Air Conditioner then i can keep my temps in the room in the low 70's. I hope you figure it out. You really don't need to go and get a 100$ fan if your grow room is small.

my room is 5.5ft length 8 ft tall and 4.6ish ft deep. max it has gotten is 88 and low is 82 so far for about a day of testing. is it going to make the room even hotter if i get like 6-8 females in my flower room?
