no. the guy at the gas station doesnt see a nickel of that. and gas cans are 5 bucks for the 1 gallon size, and if you dont have one already, you deserve to get "fair market valued"

on those few occaisions where it is absolutely essential that i store fuel in a non-approved container, i aat least have the courtesy to fill my non-approved containers from aa gas can where the guy who would get busted doesnt have to see, or accept responsibility for, my decisions.
if i have to make a long trip, a 2-liter bottle full of gas as emergency fuel lives in my saddlebags, but i dont fill it at the gas station. that would be inconsiderate.

the 2 liter bottle is only used where I dont find a empty milk jug on the way to the gas station walking to my car.
And the only time I run out of gas is those rare occasions where I think I have enough gas to get to the gas station I think is closer to where I am going

they melt under the solvent action.
if you've used pop-bottles and milk jugs enough times to use the Plural, why not drop the $5 for a gas can to keep in your trunk? even the 1/2 gallon ones are available, they last forever, and dont leak.

Don't you have like a fuel gauge that says when its time to get more? Do you wait til your fridge is empty before you go grocery shopping? Hows the paint on your house holding up?
Having worked at a fuel station years ago in college, I can remember 2 times on my shifts that people tried to use styrofoam cups to hold fuel. Only took about 10 seconds for the bottom to melt. I lost count how many stuck it in a bottle or milk jug only to go full on and realize that that the air inside the container was going to want out and was bringing a shit load of fuel with it, lol.
