Sup Dudes,
I've been hackin away at my girl after another fellow grower told me to get rid of that blood sucking under growth. So I started and now i'm wondering how far do I go? I mean whats really needed? Do I get rid of all of the big fan leaves and only leave the leaves that are intwind with the buds? What about the spindly bud that are forming under the canopy and trying to get to the light? Do I 2000 them too, I mean they are definetly taking some energy to create and sustain. But I feel kinda bad cutting the little guys off! And plus I keep thinking it's part of my yield.
Next line of questions. When the hell does everyone start counting their flowering days?? As soon as you flip the switch to 12/12??
--> (notice the puniness when I start flowering)
that seems weird, seeing as the plants internal clock doesn't flip immediately. Or does everyone or most start counting at the forming of the Calyx
-->
or at the time you see that first set of pistils
---> (Notice this is no longer a puny plant)
This method would be more consistent !!
Notice: There is about a 15 day or so difference in between my pics, so measuring 8 weeks of flowering from one starting point clearly isn't the same as the other...)
If we do not have a set method its time to set one! And it should be when Calyx's or Pistils appear, since ALL Mary Jane flowers with their pistils out...
