Done as ready to chop at your leisure, no rush they won't go bad anytime soon, if you have a plan for the first take em then, clip a sample to dry now and see how it smokes, if it seems speedylet it go a bit, if it's the buzz you want, get to hangin
How long should i let that little sample dry before i try and smoke it?

if I'm taking a taster sample I put it in a paper bag in a warm area (same place I germ my seeds) I have a dugout area near my hot water heater, stays about 80 there its good to go in about 16hrs, not going to get the flavor profile, but you can get an idea of potency and effects( uppy or couchy)

Mate I recon 1 week max. You could even pull them now as to me they seem ready. By the way an excellent 1st time effort. Well done.

Yes, after checking checking the trichomes this morning, 8 weeks, 6 days into 12/12; more than 70% of the trics are cloudy, with 15% are or turning amber. so i think im going to harvest them tonight, is there any pre measures before i do it?

Should i give them a last watering prior? should i wait till the lights go out? or just chop them down as i please?

Dont mean to spam, but does anyone else care to chime in before i chop these ladies down? anything else i should do before i cut and trim?

im a first time grower as well but from the research ive done i would say that your girls are in the harvest window for sure. now all you need to do is decide what kind of buzz you want to achieve.

if you followed what he said and you are comfortable with the buzz then hack away and get them buds drying.

me personally would most likely do it today....but that's cause im impatient and also out of bud haha.

awesome grow, i can only aspire to get these results from my first go around. which im attempting right now 9 days old above soil.

happy growing Traplife!!! let us know how it turns out

YOu know there is an ass hole in every crowd, here I am. I feel like they should have went another couple weeks at least. All those pistils will recede into the calyx and increase your yield dramatically. I may me be wrong, but the would have been a lot more dense in 3 more weeks. Squeeze them while there hanging, the larger ones, do they have much give? Or do the hold their ground and resist your squeeze? Well If they are eazy to squeeze than they should have stayed up a little longer. Those last few weeks make all the difference in yield.
Nice Grow! Enjoy your harvest!!

I was just going off of the trichomes, i have a pocket microscope and they almost all were cloudy, and almost all on the sugar leaves were amber. the bigger colas definitely feel nice and dense, they're not really "fluffy". they were at 9 weeks, fan leaves turning yellow, a few even curling up and died, and their growth or density you could say came to a plateau over the last few days. i feel like 10-11 would have been a little overdue.

Congrats man, when you starting your next one?
actually have a larger grow a few weeks into veg already; 6 GSC clones in 5 gal pots under 500w cfl and 300w LED above a SCROG net. its in an 8'x4' tent, which we plan to split into two 4'x4' rooms, 1 a vegging room, the other a flower room, with 1200w of LED in the flower room

Cool, be careful with a half veg half flower in the same tent, one sneaky male could get ya!
