Harvesting bud washing just peroxide or lemon juice and B/S necessary?

I'm gonna be a bit of a dick for a second, so don't mind me....

"bud washing" is a total misnomer imo, like a lot of stoner terms . From what little chemistry knowledge I possess, the difference between using just water and lemon/baking soda water is the difference between literal washing and "water curing", which aint really a perfect term either. If all you want to do is wash bugs and dust off your outdoor buds, use the mist setting on your hose before you pull it. Maybe a few days before for the sake of the trichs, idk. Imo though that's as far as it really needs to be taken, although I can dig a quick swish of the pot stems in a water bucket for a sec, that's not so extreme. But doing an acid/base extraction on your weed is a whole nother idea man - it's almost like making QWISO in reverse, pulling the non-THC chemicals out of your bud for a more concentrated end product. Only the THC stays in the bud instead of coming out, and it's in a style with some similarity to making DMT . If that's your thing all power to you, but you're doing a chemical extraction, not just a quick little splishy-splashy wishy-washy :hump: It might help your results if you look at it from that perspective [/dick]

So tldr it depends on what your goal is and if you like the results you get with lemon and b/s

edit: just saw the posts about the bud rot, RIP my dude

Lots of experience. When the leaves die and stop transpiring, they will begin to rot on the inside of the bud where there is no air flow often right near or in at stalk and once that starts there is nothing you can do but remove the bud or it will spread and ruin everything. Sometimes you can't see it clearly until you have lots of experience with it. Your bud has been exposed to the spores I can tell by the hairs and the dead leaves on the bud. If you really want to tell smoke it and you will have a harsh smoke that give you a sore throat. Most people never understand why their bud is harsh this is one of the major factors. This is why BHO was invented.
So how do you get those out before harvest start trimming the inside and take the dead sugar leaves out inside of ombudsman

You have to be careful, when you let all those sugar leafs and fan leafs die and dry up inside the bud your making a perfect environment for mold. Plant should stay healthy to the end, maybe with a slight fade to light green barely yellow as your rob N to push more p and k the last weeks
So what do you do pull the buds apart a lil and pull all the dead fan leaves ?

youre in a high humidity area, next time try some techniques like LST to get you multiple smaller tops instead of one huge one, the biggest nugs are always the most at-risk for mold.

Careful smoking moldy nug. Those spores dont die when burned, you WILL be getting lungs full of that shit and rolling the dice on some long lasting lung issues.

Must prevent, fans on your tops from week 5 to finish will help. Genetics are a major factor 8-week plants in a high humidity environment are a must. Time of year you run stuff is a big deal early deps have less of that because of cooler nights and overall less spores in the air. When you see enough rot you will be able to prevent and predict what is going to get it. You can top more and have smaller but etc. I could go on and on.

Inside with lower humidity I’m growing inside it’ll be no chance of mold at 55 humidity right indoors ?

You think it’s ruined ? I think I cut out most mold or what I said is mold and I’ve read baking soda and peroxide kills the mold ….?

Good luck, let me know how it taste
Well If in my situation top cola is super dense now and compact all the lil buds form into one top tight dense compact cola …it’s not just one bud the cola if you’ve grown you know its a bunch of buds together packed tightly…how would I ever get air in those preventing mold you’d have to pull the buds back

So you don't let things die inside that cola, it's getting air, your issue is from improper feeding killing leafs before harvest. You should have living leavs to trim down and try to find the stem and snip out if you wet trim, or if you dry trim its all drying at once, not a dead rotting price wrapped in most living perspiring plant matter

sorry to say I don't know, I grow in a dry climate and I'm blessed to have not had any mold problems to date...*knocks on wood*
Even in low humidity like my indoor grow is 50% humidity bud the inside of the buds still going to be packed tight thus not letting air in inside of tightly compact buds

my humidity rarely gets up to 50%. I wouldnt exactly call that "low". Your buds are no bigger or denser than anyone elses on here man lol, it would probably do some good to read some journals and more posts, etc.

So should I lower humidity in grow room to what I have a dehumidifier also whar do you recommend during flowering
