while i give him credit for finally speaking out against DADT and voting accordingly, as well as speaking against the death penalty, that is empty posturing if he does not condemn the nitwits who cheer for such things.

I think he explained it pretty well, Ron here talks about his friend who actually had the same experience and how he helped him...and how he took this question kind of personally because of this experience actually, Dr Paul was hurt by the audiences reaction if anything.

Its not *tactic approval* - its keeping his mouth shut so the extreme conservatives agree with him, its not getting worked up about a ridiculous hypothetical questions with the obvious intent to make him look like 'Crazy Uncle RON' and smear him - the same old game they always use - its easy to take a philosopher out of context or get them with hypothetical questions and that's what they have been aiming for - he dodged that bullet the best he could. If you know anything about Ron Pauls philosophy he is strongly against the death penalty and strongly against people die-ing PERIOD....hes a MEDICAL DOCTOR FOR CHRIST SAKE THAT'S PRO LIFE AND PRO LIBERTY - Don't be a dunce please - don't base your opinion on these debates - read what Ron has said, done, and what he is doing.

Ron Paul actually thinks obamacare was good for what it did for people with pre-existing conditions because of his friends case, DO YOU THINK HE SHOULD BRING THAT UP AT THE DEBATES? WHERE THEY ARE ALL OBSESSED ABOUT OBAMCARE AND KILLING PEOPLE? DO YOU THINK THAT WOULD BE A SMART MOVE? SHOULD HE HAVE SHUSSED THE AUDIENCE? Ron Paul talks about he wouldn't cut social benefits because so many people are conditioned and now dependent on it...these dipshits try to play it like Ron Paul is flip flopping or something but this is what Ron Paul has said all along...

Ron Paul has been saying that you need a transition out of the entitlement system. He recognizes that Social Security and other programs are not sustainable in their current forms and he's urging young people to opt out so that they can eventually be terminated, but he's much more nuanced in his rhetoric than sycophants like Rick Perry and Herman Cain.

I think people like you unclebuck, tend to catagorize Ron paul into a certain place in your mind, you identify him as some crazy old redneck that fits all the streotypes, simply not true, and not fair, Ron Paul stands out from the other candidates on EVERY ISSUE...yes EVERY ISSUE. You can't take it for face value because he is not a corporate product like the other candidates..

I have never backed a Republican candidate for president IN MY LIFE...NEVER....and I never would...but Ron Paul is NOT one of them..Give Ron Paul a fair chance, read his books, watch some of the videos I have posted. Don't just write him off.

Which happened in 2000...and was reversed back to dollars in 2003.
