Having a Hard Time

Greetings,

I have been having some issues on my current run. The fabric pots were always saturated and started to grow white mildew. I had to transplant into plastic two days ago. I have been having some leaf problems, and very slow growth. This is day #28 from seed. I have raised my lights recently. I have also ran 3 days of 5.8, down from 60. the first two weeks. I had a few peaks of 82 degrees and had to start up my window ac for the lung room. I went from a perfect 5x5 = to a 4x8 with issues. The only changes were the HLG 450R, and the 4x8 footprint. I have tried to troubleshoot the last few weeks, with the latest change being light hight. Any help would be great. My setup is as follows.

Temp: Tent 74/80, Res 75 W/ frozen water bottles changed out every 12 hours
Humidity: Day 48/ Night 62
Tent: 4x8
Lights: x1 680w Photonican, x1 HLG 550 R hanging at 36", I had them at 28 but this problem might be heat
EC 1.2-1.2 5cc of Calmag per gallon (Humboldt Secret line)
Genetics: Ethos BBBC, End Game, Black Dimond
Flood: Every three hours, bo floods at night
My VPD is always nearly 1.7 but my last run was great with the same VPD.

You should look in to some root rot preventatives, without a chiller you should go the oxidizer route like bleach or hydrogen peroxide. I've personally used bleach(sodium hypochlorite)for years in hydro. 3-5ppm residual chlorine is recommended in DWC. Here's the calculator I've always used: Chlorine dilution calculator

DWC roots.

It looks like you're giving them to much light at this stage. Relative humidity seems way to low to. I would invest in a humidifier. Hope you get it sorted! Cheers!

That's a good copy. I currently run flood and drain in the buckets. I will hit them with some HP a little later in the day. I am 4 hours from lights off currently.

Maybe potasium def.
I did a res change 4 days ago, and not much improvement so far. The PH is right on the money, unless the PH meter is off. But it has been recalibrated every two weeks. I have the PH20 pen currently. So not a cheap pen.

The PH20 is the only "good" pH pen I ever bought. First one arrived clearly used and wouldn't even accept calibration. Exchanged it, and the second one appeared new, but didn't work much better. It would accept calibration, but would jump off wildly between one use and the next. Didn't seem like I should have to calibrate it before every use, so back it went. Been using pH test drops exclusively ever since. Even if you're gonna have a pen, not a bad idea to keep some of the liquid test solution around just to verify the pen's results from time to time.

Is the new LED more intense than the previous light? If so, you may need to bump up the EC a bit. If I remember correctly, LED's are more intense and cause the plants to need more feed.

can we see the roots? Maybe drop your ec to .9 and see how they like it. I think the 1.2 is causing uptake problems, or something is.

Maybe stop with the calmag. You shouldn't need anything extra at this point just your base nutrients. More is hardly ever the prescription needed to fix the grow.

Thank you for the response. I think I will do another flush this weekend and pull the calmat. The roots look good, nice and white. I tried to get the RH up to fix the VPD but its been really hard. I exhaust the air before it can be effective. I might drop my EC to make up for the extra uptake. This will be a step in the right direction I hope.
