Hey im having problems with they way my girls drink ... I just lollipoped & flipped them into bloom last week.. I grow on flood tables in 4 inch cubes and my girls are around a foot tall everything is phd and i start at 1000 ppm first week of bloom .... they look ok there perky and light green but the issue here is when i flood the table(s) some of the plants are ready to drink the next day , some are ready the day afgter and some drink the day after that one sooo 3 days!!!! I didnt get flood tables for me to have to hand water and lifting every plant every day to check if it needs to be fed or not... so how do i organize my plants or do u have any tips to get my feeding down so that every table is flooded everyday the way it should and the way it has int he past... it pisses me off to go there and have to spend so much time doing something that shoudl be much faster and enjoyable.... I am just going into week 2 some of these plants look great while others are overwatered, tonight im killing the lights and giving them 24 hours of darkness to perk them up some more and create more foilage.... any other tips or suggestions REP+

I'm afraid there's not much you can do about that. I have the same set up as you and the same thing happens to me. I've gotten to where I hand water stuff with water from the reservoir, because some of my strains hardly use any water and others use a ton. And, yes, I also lift my plants almost daily to check their weight, so as not to overwater. I don't flower in ebb and flow, though, so it's only really an issue in the veg, which is more manageable anyway, for me at least. Once they've all developed pretty strong roots, they get a lot closer together for water needs.

The thing is this hasnt been an issue in the past only now and partially last run.. i dont know what im doing differnt from previous runs or if i expect to much out of my girls this early in bloom... I organzie my plants smallest to largest( being the furthest away) just like in the past...... You how they say ur plants will double in height when u flipp them that is not the case right now they almost seem like they got stunted when i loollipopped them and then fed them with the bloom 2:1:3 ratio....

What do u mean by "I don't flower in ebb and flow, though, so it's only really an issue in the veg, which is more manageable anyway, for me at least. Once they've all developed pretty strong roots, they get a lot closer together for water needs."

note: they were drinking every day just fine in veg, then it almost seems like when i lollipooped them and flipped them into blooom , maybe the stress and the lack of foilage prevents them to drink as much and now some of the plants are saturaded with water/food whereas the others are dry....

should i squeeze out the water of the saturated cubes
decdrease humidity to suck them dry
organize them differntly
increase or decrease heat... food ppms

??? i dunno im lost with this one??? and it feels like im hampering my yeild by not having the answers

Dont have alot of advice to help with this run, but i stick to hydrotron in flood tables so you can water as often as you like and not really worry about over doing it. i like to start and clone in rockwool, but i keep it above the flood level. but there are plenty out there who run straight rockwool like you and are fine. are they all clones of the same strain? would hope that clones of the same strain taken around the same time should perform and drink at similar rates

We run the same set up as you do. And use the 4" hugo blocks. First are you growing 2 different strains in the same tray? We never do that, all plants in one tray need to be the same strain. Second we water 2 times a day. May be water less each time. How do you determine which ones need water? Our block always have moisture in them, if I press down from the top my fingers get moist. I am not sure but it seems to me they would need more water in flowering. I could post some pics of our set up and budz if you would like.

whats hydroton??
Yes these are all clones of the same strain and taking at the same time... yes i would think that they should act the same as well...

Yea its the same strain , how do u water 2 times a day do they drink that much??? i wish i could water/feed once a day when the lights first turn and i would be a happy guy... i would 25% of my plants water every day... 50% water every 2nd day and 25% water every 3 days.... im going into 2nd week of blloom and it seems like there a bit stunted and not drinking as much, i really dont know what to do.. yea sure if u could post some pics that would be great!!!

We water once at the beginning of the light cycle and once at the end. The pump runs for about 10 min. (we push down one section of the timer) and drains for about 30 min. At my buddies other set up he waters 3 times a day. But his hoses are bigger and the watering time is less. No way we would dream of not wetting the roots for 3 days. We set up the timers and leave it the fuck alone!! Set it, and forget it.

Sounds like maybe some of your plants are being overwatered and beginning to show signs of slow growth. I grow in dutch buckets with hydroton under a meter square screen and have cuttings of the same strain but different phenotypes. Wouldn't you know it, one loves the current watering cycle the other started to slow down and was growing ever so slowly. It took a long while to sort it out and find a happy spot, I have come to the opinion that one will simply never look like the other. I fix it for one and the other doesn't like it.

I would think twice a day, morning and night would be fine, maybe work on the duration of the watering. I was watering my buckets, and remember dutch bucket keep about a half gallon in the bottom as a reserve, every two hours for 15 minutes, one loved it one didn't. Now I run it 5 minutes every 2 hours and they both like it with strong growth from both. I used to grow in rockwool but found I didn't like how wet it always was. Hydroton in buckets allows me to water much more frequently and it's harder to overwater.

Looks good bro, man the only differnce is u have way less plants then i do.... i have 55-65 per 4 x8 table thats why lifting and chekcin is so annoying, all i want to do is to be able to flood once once the lights start and i wish they dry up till next day

Yea im thinking so too maybe i oerwater after i lollipopped them and water too soon again... hmmm i dunno im really chekcin until they dry out this time but it seems like when i do and when i flood the tables as aposed to hand water i always over water no mater how low i allow the water to go up the cubes.....

You have 60 plants for 2 lights? That sounds kinda crazy. You will only get so much from a light. Say 1 to 2 lbs. No way do you need more than 8 plants to get that yield. Adding 50 plants per light is not going to get more yield. Where I live the cops would count how many plants we have. I would like to have 1 plant per light and make it like "Jack and the Beanstalk" type huge plant. We were short on clones and only did 5 per light this time. We will get more than 1 lb per light, about 1 1/4. Nextr round we are going for 2 lbs. per.

yea 55-65 per lights its becuase i lollipopp them so there is only a cola and no bottom branch... how long do u veg for to get such large plants i only veg for 2 weeks untl they are around a foot tall

We veg for the flower cycle, so about 8 weeks. Then when we harvest, We move the clones into the flower room and clone, while the big ones are budding the clones veg. Then repeat.
Post pics?

sure if u could post some pics would be great... what do u mean by " We veg for the flower cycle, so about 8 weeks " so do u veg for 8 weeks or your flower cycle is 8 weeks?

yeah that's what I think he is saying, veg for the same 8 weeks he is flowering, then roll them into flowering while more clones veg for 8 more weeks. Easy JR

hmm, interesting, i'm new to indoor, even tho i read a lot, this is the setup i've seen more of than anyhting else (veg/flower/8wks total. sounds productive. i think I'm going to Scrog though..... which might be risky for my first indoor, but it just seems that with a soil grow it is the most efficient way to get light to the girls... any thoughts??

yea i agree scrog is most efficient however being that its ur first time u may want to make it as easy as possible for urself and forget about the scrog.... I find its really easy to get caught up in lil things such as pruning and training when really the number 1 thing for success is right temps and humidity and the appropraite amount of feed/ water at the approriate time... if u can master that the first time around ur doing better then most, and maybe the second time around u cold try differnet training( scrog) pruning methods .. just my 2 cents
