Here are a few suggestions that might help to increase the potency of your grass:
1) Don't enrich the grow room with CO2 during the later stages of flowering.
-Some growers believe CO2 may lesson the potency of flowering plants. I usually stop after the initial stretch has completed (3rd week)
2) When you switch your lighting to the flowering cycle (12/12) also drop the temperature in the grow room by 2-3 degrees.
-Lower temps at the onset of flowering will invigorate the plants hormones and hasten bud production. It has been known to increase both yield and potency and some genetics will even begin to display some beautiful colors. As mother nature intended, I gradually lower my temps as flowering progresses. I vegetate my plants at 30 degrees (with CO2 supplementation) and drop the temp to 28 degrees when I switch to 12/12. After about 6 weeks (Indica)/ 8 weeks (Sativa) I drop the temperature even lower (26 degrees) until harvest.Plants are very sensitive to temperature fluctuations and they seem to respond well to the gradually cooling temps.
4) Dry and Cure properly
- I let them dry in a dark cool place with low humidity for approximately 2 weeks, before jarring and curing the buds for several more weeks. Open the jars for a few minutes daily to allow the moisture to escape and the buds to breathe.
