"haze auto" ???

So.....I ordered five fem'd CRITICAL + from DYNAFEM via the attitude. They arrived today. Cool.

The Freebies are six "HAZE AUTO". Duh?

I havent done any "auto" before. Do I put em in 12/12 from the start? Or do I put em in longer light and wait til I see some flowering before making the switch? Or what?

Anybody ever grown HAZE AUTO? Or CRITICAL +?

Jeeez. I feel so stupid sometimes.

I'm not sure but I think I've heard auto growers mention that they're getting more production with the light on longer rather than 12/12. I'm not an expert on auto as I've only grown a few, Dina Fem's Haze Auto was one, and she was a beautiful plant I must admit.
 
auto's= will go threw an entire grow cycle from seed to harvest on any light cycle.. suggested you keep them on 16/8......but auto simply means its gonna flower no matter what light cycle you have it on, it flowers AUTOmatically!!! even if you dont like the strand, it will be a good experience!! enjoy
 
OK, thanks, guys. So....Im guessing the longer light oughta produce more growth.....hmmmmm. I def want them to be as BIG as possible before they start flowering.

Im looking foreward to this--- I have NO idea what to expect.

plants stop absorbing light some time after 18 hours, so its kinda pointless to use light beyond 18 hours...."EXCEPT IN THE FIRST FEW WEEKS OR SO OF GROWTH" 24hr light has shown to speed up growth of young mj plants
 
I only grow autos. I believe the best light timing is 20/4, but 18/6 works fine too. I dont give nutes for the first 3 weeks (hydro), as is recommended by the seed company. pull up the seed you bought on the 'tude and see what the description says.
 
Dinafem seeds are awesome. I know a friend who is growing both Critical + and Haze Auto.
They were freebies on 24/7 light schedule in soil-less hempy style buckets getting General Organics nutrients with 400w HPS.
The plants are looking good. The Critical + is just about 2 inches tall with nice leaves and about 3 nodes. It seems to be a hungry plant is already getting strong nutrients.
The Haze Auto is growing well its a VERY hungry plant and that is because they started producing bud at just 1" tall! One is about 4" tall now with 4 nodes and has little buds growing all over it. The other is 3" and 3 nodes and is a little behind. They are a bit yellow (nitrogen deficient) and are recovering from over watering.
Hope that helps. Dont put them in 12/12.

Oh wow. Thanks so much. This is important news. I had NO idea they flowered that small...or so soon. OK. Heavy feeders, 18 hrs of light or even 24. That comes as a surprise, too. Clearly, the same "rules" just dont apply to the AFs.

This is brand new territory for me. Should be interesting.

Thanks again---I woulda done it totally wrong if not for you guys with AF experience. I thought I was sposeta change the light when I saw flowering. duh.

allrighty! Let the experiment begin!

I soaked the seeds 12 hours then popped them into seed starter mix yesterday. Nothing showing above the soil yet.

I think I may do the AFs in soil instead of Hempy. No particular reason....just ready for a change, LOL. (plus I have a bag of soil just sitting here doing nothing)

Yea I'll second the 18/6 or 20/4. I do 12/12 seed girls so I just threw the ones I got in there and they're going to finish quite small. My first one showed pistils the other day and is only 5-6inches. I also have a critical plus which showed pistils from 12/12 seed at about 10"
 
I ordered from dinafem last year and got blue hash,blue widow and haze auto came free..I just started them a couple weeks ago and they both started and one was male so i lucked out there but i think i am going to pollinate it with the lowryder 2 because i love that strain..
 
I think you have a good idea trying soil with the HA. Watch the mold and rot with soil and your good.
The Critical + is my favorite plant out of 12 now. It is growing like a champ.
(my friend also has: Dinafem Sweet Deep Grapefruit (2), Dinafem Diesel (1), Northern Lights (3), Purple Kush (2), White label Bleu berries (1).
