Mick's First Grow Report (Critical Auto, FFOF, Spider-Farmer, Dr. Earth)

I will do exactly that when I’m up to bat haha I agree less variables less room for mistake. Is number 6 mandatory? I was planning on just going with the ffof and the dr earth tomato and bloom and maybe try the whole molasses and worm casting thing on my second run or do you think it’s very much needed?

While I don't have any evidence the tea is "necessary", I want to add it next time because I want to see if I witness any measurable benefits - as Frankly Dankly mentions.

IMO, the worm castings are mainly for soil building and microbes that like to trade nutes with your roots. The first grow I used them, I got a bit better yield, but the aroma/flavor and general quality was definitely better.

Hey man I was wondering do you run your exhaust 24/7? and how about the oscillating fans 24/7?

I don't have an oscillating fan yet - if you find a good one let me know. Honestly I do run my clip fan 24/7. We'll see how long it lasts.
I found the challenge of the inline is keeping the humidity up. I turned that on sometime in week 3 - low at first and slowly increased it over time to full on. I am running that 24/7 as well. Also I'm running a tiny mini humidifier 24/7 that has a "pulse" cycle where it comes on for 3 secs and off for 3 secs - I refill it once a day. It stopped once so far and I filled it with white vinegar and ran it for a bit in the kitchen which cleaned it out to start working again.

Honestly the way i decide how high to turn my inline is based on my humidity. If I see it's dropping under 40% with the little humidifier on.. then i turn down the inline a bit. Now that the plant is big - I can keep the inline full on without dropping the humidity under 40% with my little humidifier on pulse.

That’s definitely good to know I’m hoping I can get away with a 4 inch ac infinity fan and filter in a 2x4x5 I think it should be enough and I will be sure to let you know if I find a good affordable oscillating fan

what were you were lights off temperatures and humidity?
The entire grow was run on 18 hour light schedule. I do plan on doing a 48 hour dark cycle prior to harvest.
Temperature target was 75F. Though the one week I was out of town it did drift up over 80F.
RH target was 50% but was in the low 40% most of the grow. Once again the week I was out of town it did drop to 30%.

Just water and one molasses worm tea. I really think she is done. I’m debating cutting her tomorrow or going two more weeks. I can’t cut next weekend. It’s a tough call but I would like some opinions.

Just water. She’s done and not drinking much. Trichromes are 1/3 Amber. I’d like to say I’m chopping for the dry. But since I’m going out of town I need to try and arrest her development. So I’m going to follow the advice of Buddabhuz and switch her to 10/14 light schedule until Friday. Then trim her in the pot and turn out the light to start drying in the pot until I get back when I can monitor the dry.

Watch those sugar leaves when you are checking the trichomes. They will show amber on the sugar leaves long before the buds. Just something to keep in mind. Sometimes I will take a popcorn nug that looks finished and trim it up, remove as much sugar leaf as possible and then check the trichomes on the popcorn nug.

If it was me, i'd wait and go the extra 2 weeks.

I’m waiting two weeks because I don’t have a choice. the trichome pics are from the buds not the sugar leaves. Sugar leaves are nearly all Amber.
