Want another Example?
Keystone Pipeline
Transcanada wants to route a underground 36 inch Pipe to carry tar sand Oil right over the Oglalla Aquifer. Which is one of the largest freshwater sources in the world. And supplys the water demands of 3 states

Pipelines never leak ...right?
How much would destroying that be worth?
They already figured out a way to bypass the area...

but you still are not going to be happy because it is an OIL pipeline and oil is evil...

If it were a chocolate syrup pipeline you can bet there would be packs of messy faced children at every leaky connection. Self regulation!!

I am sure I will never rise to the level of yours
Where do you see me insulting anyone? I try real hard not to stoop to that level (although it can be real challenging with SOME PEOPLE, lol!). Once the insults start flying the debate is over IMO. The person who starts the insults is usually the person who doesn't have anything of substance left to add to the discussion. It's been entertaining nonetheless. :-P

Hey do that Smiley flipping the finger again
You mean this one? :finger::finger::finger: lol!

If you consider that an insult then I guess you need some thicker skin. RIU saw fit to put that there for a reason. Might as well get SOME use out of it. lol!

Was that Directed at me? You quoted something I said and put that nice insulting smiley in there. Is that short term memory loss
Or you Just being a COCK?
My apologies, I didn't consider that an insult. I absolutely remember putting that there! lol! I'll continue to put it in each and every one of my replies to YOU. I can be quite a "COCK" sometimes. Just ask my wife. lol!:finger::D

Then what happened to this testing ground for ideas that is supposed to be included in the individual state's "experiments" in governing? I can't see how anything would be more efficient if 50 states had to agree on anything. I also think it is fascinating that the right is so up in arms over California's clean air board limiting co emissions and demanding cleaner cars than other states if they are so for state's rights. Furthermore I don't understand why they don't think much of Oregon's assisted suicide law - seems to me they are for state's rights unless the state wants something they don't.
As a member of the "right", I can assure you most of us couldn't give a shit what California does with it's emission standards. Make it impossible to drive anything but a hybrid for all I care, I won't be living there again and wouldn't consider moving back because of crap like that.

I also have no problem with the suicide law, don't confuse Conservatives with the "Religious Right" zealots. They don't speak for a great many of us. I'm for state's rights in just about every situation.

These corperations you speak of derive their power from that same big govt-
A small govt could help equal the playing feild between small buisness and huge corps
Won't work, the corporations would love a smaller government........ fewer politicians to bribe. :eyesmoke:
