Heat problem

It's starting to get too hot in my room so I got an AC unit, but htis won't work as well when it has the exhaust pulling air out and a large intake fan, bringing in a lot of hot air from outside the room. Would it be smart to leave the exhaust/intake on a timer to go off and on every 15 mins? Maybe on for 15, off for 30, or vice versa?

i would suggest either a figuring out a way to cool down the incoming air or b. switch your schedule to be lights on during night time that way the air is already cooler. or do both good luck

my lights do run at night..it's just the day that seems to hurt the most up there. There is no way for me to intake cooler air outside the room during the day. So, would keeping exhaust/intake on for 15 min intervals be smart, allowing the AC to cool the room down? Maybe just hte intake fan on 15 min intervals and exhaust on 24/7?

IDK BRO can u describe set up and conditions better
It's on the second floor, so during the day it's going to be HOT. I cut a few passive holes behind a big cfm fan post on the wall so allow some fresh, but hot, air get in the room. It's about 140 sq ft room with 8' tall ceilings. I'm messing with the setup to see what will maintain a better temp during hte day. With the exhaust/intake on, the AC unit can't do much for hte room, but when they are off it can start to fill it up with cool air. I have it set at 15 min intervals right now, but I was thinking maybe I should keep the exhaust on 24/7 and keep the fan at 15 min on/off, no?

on a very hot day it used to get low 90s before the AC. The AC helps to keep it down a little while exhaust/intake are on, but I need them to get down a little more. That's why I think I need to have the exhaust/intake on a timer. Maybe 30 mins on 15 off? 15 on 15 off? Or should I keep one of them on 24/7 and the other on timer?

it really wont matter cause you def want to get to a point where your highest temp is lights on. if your runnin ninetys wit lights off i really dont know how to help ya unless you can find a way to chill all the fresh air comin into room

Well in my case, should I just leave the intake fan all the time because it makes a lot of breeze. then have the exhaust on a 15 min timer? im just trying to figure out which way would allow the room to get as low as possible.

i use a passive intake system with my carbon scrubber exhausting all the time and it works for me. try turning your intake off and just let your exhaust do the work might cool things down a bit.
