So last week the Northeast was hottttttt... One plant I had that was doing well, the buds seemed to get orange hairs really fast and they don't seem like they've been doing much since them. They definitely looked like they were affected by the heat, but not to the point where things were drying out and getting crusty and yellow and dying. The plant still looks pretty much fine, is what I am trying to say. I guess what I'm asking is would heat stress to a plant like that in week 5 of flowering do it in for the rest of its life, or is this just a temporary set back? It's supposed to be gross this weekend too, at 80-85 summer temps I'm totally fine but anything over 95 seems to make my plants very sad.

What size pot are you growing in?.. And what medium?.. They could be rootbound which causes slow growth and rapid oranging (<--probably not a word) hairs..

Temp=...heat stress you will net a loss of 10-15% in bud production...heat over 88 degree's and heat stress BE PROACTIVE!!...didn't know the heat was comming?Poor planning fix the problem or suffer the consequences!It was 100 degree's ambient and my cellar was 105!! but 77 degree's in the flower room I have NO a.c. in the house! but the ladie's do! I am not going to loose 16 week's from the heat! and my yield will still be over 2lb's....jack!?
My apartment was wired by a fucktard so I'm reluctant to put an AC in the window but I think I will this weekend. I'm just using CFLs and it's well ventilated so it pretty much never gets any hotter in there than it is outside. I have them in soil in 3 gallon smart pots which supposedly make plants unable to be rootbound? I've never had a problem with them before.

Cool I use 3 gal smart pot's they are great! AC will help with growth but if you are well ventilated you should be all set! Where I am if you tryed that last week with the temp's at 100 for over three day's would have killed my crop and loose me over 2lb's.....no way..View attachment 2231112View attachment 2231113

Yes temps over 80 in flowering will make buds stretched,soft and fluffy instead of tight hard nugs, and degrade THC.
