Hello.. I really need some help with my grow. I can't figure this out.

If you are watering every couple of days then the roots are probably continually wet and that is causing your issue. You need to soak the entire pot. Put them in some catch trays. Water slowly, start with half a gallon. Sometimes I gotta stir up the top soil to help absorption....it may take about 30min but water slowly from the top, then pour some in the catch tray so it can soak it up from the bottom. Keep dumping what collects in the catch pan back into the top.

It may take about 20-30 for the soil to absorb most of that half gallon but eventually it will. After 45min, anything left in the catch tray can be discarded. At this point pick your pot up and take note of how heavy it feels when fully saturated. Don't water again until it feels very light in comparison. Could take about a week or so....then repeat the saturating process.

I respect all the opinions saying to feed more.....just rule out the light being too low first. Otherwise you'll over-fed them which is worse then taking a few days to check if the lights being higher won't solve it.

Agreed! Notice how the plant almost looks to be trying to hide from the light.

Your light is only 150W. Very unlikely it's a lighting problem.
You mentioned that your soil is hydrophobic (doesn't absorb well).
I think Dank Bongula has some god advice though I don't believe it's because the soil is too wet at the roots.
I think it's dry down there or at least some dry pockets.
Each pot needs a good soaking.
No nutes necessary. FFOF has enough nutes for those size plants.
Just get them nice and saturated and let them sit for a few days or more, until the pots are light again.
Then reassess based on whether they start perking up and looking better.

One thing I can say that under LED in veg I would up my temps to low to mid 80s and raise your pots off the tent floor.
Without looking at the light, make sure its not OTT for veg .
Raising temps should help perk them up at least.

Do I leave them in the dish of water how deep, like an inch you think?? Or do I dip the pots and then remove???

I would disagree with anyone saying nutes. I can run seedlings and clones in ffof for a good 30+ days without feeding and not have any yellowing no nite burn or anything to that affect. This looks like overwatering to me plain and simple for the combinations of two symptoms I see present in those photos. The yellowing starting at the lower leaves combined with that particular type of drooping. That doesn’t strike me as drooping due to dehydration ie. the cell walls of the plant constricting to the point it would lose its shape or form due to a lack of water. This looks like drooping due to an over saturation and excess water in plant cells. I would first question how well are those fabric pots draining and if the fabric itself is drying out completely all the way through. If not the roots will become damaged and eventually rot causing plant death. Do your self a favor and buy a meter to test the moisture level in the soil. I can try to find a link to the one I have. They are like $5-10. I’ve been doing this for many years and still utilize use mine on a daily basis. Think the brand I have is Dr. Meter. I got it at Home Depot years ago and it’s still going. It takes all guess work away. Next thing I would try.. buy some 5 gal buckets drill enough holes in the bottom for drainage and put a saucer tray under it. Water only until you see a little bit of runoff in the beginning and then use your meter to test the moisture level in the soil. Only water when it’s in the red or very close. Roots need to dry out a little between waterings. Sometimes if the soil I buy is already a little moist, I don’t water more than maybe a cup of water only to get the plant watered in a little then I’ll let the whole pot dry out. I hope this is helpful. This is also my first post here. Just wanted to start helping people by sharing my own experiences over the years. Good luck. Thank you for the advice. I do have a water meter but I've been told it is junk. Maybe I will go get one at home depot. I have some air pots that I usually use for my plants once they get going but I've been unable to even get that far with these new strains I have. They are 7 gallon air pots and are on stands. I usually transplant after 6 to 8 weeks when the growth is good and aggressive. But these plants, even the new seedlings, have, started yellowing from the bottom up after just 2 or 3 weeks and I can't stop it from taking over. I'm giving up on the older plants but should I just put my 2 week seedlings in the air pots you think?? They are in small regular pots now. I can send pics if you need them. They are 2.5 weeks old. Thanks again...

I wouldn't give up on them unless they are autos. Photos you can nurse back to health once you correct your watering.

I learned this lesson in a thread I had the same problem with. It was LED light intensity. It looks just like a deficiency in the way it shows. Under HID you'd notice other signs that aren't there for LED, mainly burnt leafs. But yeah, solution is to raise your light as high as it will go and let the plants recover. If in 4 days they don't look 100% better rule this out, but I am 99% sure that is what it is.

Edit: as a point of reference I am using 200 watts as high as I can get it in a 6 foot tent for cuttings and small plants.

I have the light all the way to the top. I turned it down 25 percent. I hope it is that easy.

Hello everyone... I attached my seedling Pic. This one I planted on 9/27. It sprouted 3 day later. It has stayed yellowing the bottom leaves. It's a lot 4.5 feet from my LED light, it's still a little moist at the roots and I watered it day before yesterday. This is how the yellowing usually starts.

That light is only 150watts. You're gonna create more problems for yourself with it that far away. Try 20in away and 50% while they are little.

I use this light in my veg tent and my blueberry photos are 1 month old and the light is at 20in - 100%
The veg tent actually has an sf1000 and this ts1000 in it and both lights are at 100% and 20in.

Soil to hot and messing up ph, check run off and make sure ph meter calibrated

Just my guess

if so flush with only ph’ed water till in acceptable range

pH meter should definitely be calibrated but I don't agree with OF being too hot generally speaking. I start seeds in it regularly.

I was just trying to make some medium less hot flushing with tap water, my tap is 0.6 ec, if I water without runoff and not all the ec from nutes and tap is used, there can be a build up.

My soil ec meter said my medium’s ec was 0.7 (before starting flush), then I tried and flush with my 0.6 tap, my ec ended up going to 1.0 plus. I didn’t keep going after I saw that happening, but I guess it would take a bit of flushing to get it all the way back to just where it was.


I made some r/o water to flush another one and I can’t recall the results at the moment but I’m pretty sure it was getting the results I was looking for (lowering the ec in the medium), even before run off

it makes sense and I don’t recall something not making sense recently

any soil out of the bag, that I have used, for me is not hot, always organic soils though
