thank you ! ill look into that washing machine method .. obviously im new to all this . your right its easy to figure out how to dry it but ive heard that if i dry it out to fast it wont cure right and it wont smell good and lose potency so i just wanna make sure im doing this shit right i dont wanna ruin 25 pounds cuase i dried it wrong lol . right now its all in big thick plastic bags i was also wondering if thats bad will it mildew or ? . right now it just stinks like fertilizer . wish me luck hahah what ever happens it will be a fun learning curve for next time .

If you're making ice hash, do you need to dry the trim out before freezing?

i make ice water hash right off the plant..as soon as i trim it..its always worked for me. i dont know if thats the best method..so im interested in this answer as well

it is actually a better product fresh because the wet plant matter has less possibility of breaking down and coming through the screen.
just so you are clear he means a bubbleator to my knowledge you cant actually use a regular unmodified washing machine? (although it would be awesome if im wrong)

Hmm to my knowledge you want to let the trimming dry out a little so the chlorophyll breaks down a bit then you can even freeze them so more trichomes freeze and they more ezly break off.
As for not being able to actually use a regular unmodified washing machine please do some research before passing out bunk info

Also make sure you take out all the fan leafes and stems you dont want that tearing apart you bubble bags no fun trust me

Easy.
1.) Freeze your smashed up bags of trim after you get rid of stems
2.) Fill machine 2/3 with ice, the top to the ice level with freezing fucking cold water.
3.) Insert about 1 lb of trimmings into the bag and then into the machine.
4.) (Time till now, 4 minutes)
5.) Leave the machine on for 12-15 minutes. (There's a timer on the washing machine, the max time is 15 minutes)
6.) Empty machine into buckets via the hose
7.) Pull up each bag and use a silverware style spoon to just scoop out the hash
8.) Set each scoop on the screen and let dry
Total time for after the shits frozen till when its done is about 25-30 minutes. You can smoke the hash within an hour if you press the finished hash in the screen folded up with paper towels on the outside to dry it faster.

i think i gave ample disclaimer. and you should cure the hash afterwards, what does it matter if chlorophyll is broken down you dont want any anyway.
just as important as freezing prior is making sure your rinse water is as cold or close to the ice water.
edit: should chop up hash after pressing for an hour and let dry completely before reforming, with heat if you like, as hash can mold i have seen it.

FDD did a thread showing his awesome hash making prowess. Yes you can use a washing machine but you'd want to buy one especially for this, not use the one you wash your clothes in.
