That would make sense. The HPS light was a 100 watt off brand kind, yet fit into a standard base, but it'd require a ballast. Thanks for telling me not to give them sunlight, I wasn't quite sure about that. And that would explain why the have the burns (as far as watering goes)what HPS lights did you find that will go into a regular light fixture... i think you are a little confused. you got 3 100 watt equivalent 23 watt CFL bulbs probably. If you are using the CFLs keep them 3 inches from the plants. Also if your growing indoors you may not want to give them sunlight. If you sprayed water on your plants the lights can cause those little droplets of water on the leaves to burn the leaf in that spot thus creating yellow spots on your leaves. I would not mist and only water when your pot feels like its extremly light.
also if your using fox farm do not try to give your plants any nutrients for atleast a whole month.
