So I opted to test out controlling nighttime temps a little warmer and making sure water isn't too cold. Gave a good feeding today and used an extra gallon (3 vs 2) for the three girls to flush a bit. They looked happy before bedtime!

I don't understand the flush.....but let them dry down to normal watering level and continue along.
The "purple" being expressed by them is not harmful nor will it effect how your plants grow.
In fact, some people find it a bonus to get purple expressed in their plants. It's up to you of course. But like I said it's not hurting anything.

Remember that over watering is caused by watering too often. Not by watering too much when needed. You always want at least 10% runoff each watering. 20% is even better because most growers have a tendency to overfeed. If you water only until it barely dribbles then you are risking salt build up. Especially in the lower regions of the container.
