HELP FAST!: seedlings growing too tall!?

well heres the same thing i think, same shape and look of it at least. its basically a flood spot light, so i think its giving off plenty of light (and there are two of them for 5 plants). there is a good amount of heat produced by them as well (not too hot though), so they seem to be ok.

last night i was rotating the plants around and that seemed to take care of the bend in a couple plants as they must have just been trying to find the best spot to get the most light (maybe that's due to any inefficiency of the lights?). a few of the seedlings have the second pair of leaves (the first jagged edge ones) starting to gain distance from the first node, so they seem to be doing what they should at the moment. thanks for all the help (which my original post was probably due to pure paranoia anyway) but I think were lookin good for now.

pointswest, if you or anyone else knowledgeable of this topic is on...

I bought two 26 watt CFLs (which the box describes them as "daylight 6500k") today, and I set up 1 in the room along with one of the other bulbs which is a 150 watt. seems to me that the plants are leaning toward the CFL. is it bad to have two different lights goin on the plants at the same time? It was mainly a temporary experiment anyway...

Also, are CFLs the type of lights i can have real close to the plants? i currently have them at the same distance as the other bulb (about 1 1/2 ft above the leaves). the only problem i have with using these CFL bulbs is that they don't give out nearly as much heat as the other bulbs, is that a big enough problem where i should use some other heat source as well? If so, what's a good way to handle that situation? Thanks again.

ya i have them about 6 inches away now (about as close as i can get em with what i have), both CFLs.
plants are lovin it ;)

I honestly don't know how or why that would be a halogen bulb as it had no indication of that anywhere on the packaging or the bulb. I specifically looked for a non-halogen bulb. Either way, i have the new CFLs goin right now about 4 inches from the plants. do two 26 watt CFLs for 5 seedlings seem a little inadequate? I was thinking I need a 3rd...
