so im into my 4th week of flowering, and am running 12/12, and last night my lights turn on at 8pm the breaker went at around 830, i didnt notice till now (30 hours later) I reset every thing and its now set to turn on at 8pm like before (so everythign is back on schedule), is there anything I can do or is there anything i need to do because of what has happened with them being without light for so long and is there anything I need to look for because of this error? this is my first time doing anything of this so i dont know how big of a deal it is for them to not have had light for so long.
thanks for your time

As a one off. Won't be an issue. Certainly not ideal of course. Main thing is finding out what tripped your breaker.

Too much light, too little breaker would be my guess.

I would suggest you add up everything on that circuit and it it's over 80% capacity remove something. That and buy a fire extinguisher.

If it was 30 hours of light, then you would have an issue. How much light are we talking about, and what size breaker was it? Did you notice anything else off? Did you recently add something? For it to work for 4 weeks and then trip is weird though.

The dark period is what induces flowering. As long as the long dark period is uninterrupted, they will be fine.

So you could leave the lights off for 24 hours. fine.

Leave the lights on for 8 hrs. fine

Leave the lights off for 4 hr increments for an extended period. not fine.

i also like to keep a small fan blowing on my plants when in flowering, just so i dont encounter Bud mold and there not sitting in stale air,
Good luck!

IMAG0259.jpghey, thanks so much for all the feedback!! I have a 1000w ballast and I do have a fan running with it in the room with a 440 cfm inline fan thats set on a temp timer. also I did recently hook up my t5 lights in the same room (its a big 1/2 finished basement) It has happened twice now, once before this post and just the breaker to that room, the furnace is down there and water heater, a few over head florescent lights. I just have the ballast, running down there, my t5, a heat pad for the clones, and 1 fan and one of those air pumps that attach to my air stone. so i unplugged anything that wasn't absolutely necessary which happened to be one little 8" fan in my clone tent. and everything is fine so far its 12:20 here so its been running for 4 hours now with no problems. Ill attach a picture of my breaker box its old as F***, how would I make it so this doesn't happen any more, like what would I need to upgrade electrically, I also have no idea what size the breaker is nor do I know how to find it out? I have 0 experience in the electrical field so I don't even know who to ask or where to start or how much it would even cost.
thanks again for all your time

Could be a breaker going bad too. Good job isolating the fault.
Also, try to check your plants at least once or twice a day.

Your lucky.

The wiring is so old in my building that I need to use three different circuits for my grow.
Two for the lights.
One for the fans etc.
Got extension cords everywhere ( I use appliance extension cords..)
