help install phresh filter!

just picked up a 6" phresh filter. got a growlab120 with a 1000w air cooled hood. right now i have the: intake>ducting>inline fan (pushing)>hood>ducting>exhaust. im gonna put the filter IN my growlab and have it run: phresh filter>ducting>hood>inline fan(pulling)>ducting>exhaust. will this help with odor control? a BIG thing to add is that i have this contained in a room, meaning the intake and exhaust are both from the room that its in...im not drawing or releasing air into any vents or other rooms. i just want to know if this will be the most efficient use of my filter. the guy at the store said it would, but second opinions are WELCOME.
 
That is exactly how i would set it up. Surprised you can exchange straight to the room with a 1000, bet you don't have to heat that room, LoL. Should work great for you, good luck.
 
ok man...so my profile pic is the way it WAS, and this (see below) is the way it IS. im connecting duct and running it out a door once a day for humidity control because its not an option to vent it outsede at this point. phresh filter will be installed when odor gets crackin because i want it to last as long as possible.

Know it's an old post but am having trouble installing my phresh filter was expecting ducting to bable to go around the end of the filter so it could be clamped on, but it's slightly bigger than the ducting so has had to go inside obviously meaning iv just had to tape it on. Was just wondering if uv managed to get it fixed in any better was as not totally sure it's air tight like this. Have got the some set up as u pretty much, filter>ducting>fan>exhaust, also in a contained room as it's just a small grow tent in my room and I can't vent out of it.

the natural atmosphere contains 350 ppm of co2,the girls need that,so you need a fresh air intake somehow,get some fresh air in there youl see an improvement,u need fresh air circulation
 
keep in mind youl need a 1or2% negative pressure in your space,that way you know your ducting job is done well,open a small duct port,open your fresh air flaps youl be fine
 
The problem is that it's a 4 inch filter with 4 inch ducting and the ductings only a couple of mm smaller than the end of the filter so guessing I won't be able to get a reducer for that small a difference. And I would have it connected with no ducting but there isn't enough room in my 40*40 tent so it's either have it with ducting inbetween or have the filter after the fan witch sounded like it was putting to much stress on the fan when I tried that.
 
So looking like this is the best option really as it would be worse if my fan broke than if the tape came loose as that's obviously a quick fix as can't be waiting for a new fan and alot cheaper. Will definitely be getting a bigger tent for my next grow need more height really aswell as it's only a meter but with alot of lst and using a led light Ill bable to make it work just about. And yh iv got enough negative pressure in there fan should be replacing the air about 3 times a minute.

Sorry I dont understand what you mean, do you not have vent holes on both sides of the tent? Surely if the ducting fits on your 4 inch fan the it should fit on your 4 inch filter? Anyway as I say, get a fast clamp to clamp the fan and filter together like this.

Sounds like the filter is true 4" and the ducting is 100mm.

If your only option is tape, get some of that aluminium tape, tear small pieces and go around a few times, that stuff is super strong and most importantly it will not come unstuck when warm or moist.

Never come across a situation like this before.
