the shed leaks some light. if somebody seen it walking down the back alley it would be pretty obvious as to what i was doing, lol

yer u can veg them inside and put them outside when the days get 12 hours of light.

you shouldnt have to bring em inside... the only seeds ive come across that could be good for outdoor (that i have grown indoors) are Ata Tundra seeds. dont under estimate the strain, it is really nice. i love it. the strain is suitable for colder conditions but still likes the warmth etc like any other plant.

Just bought my afghan x big bud seeds today, already scouted out a few possible places in forest clearings not far from me. I'm near newcastle too. I'm thinking of LST'ing to stop it from getting 6ft+, I've seen indoor grows with the same strain bought from the same shop get over 6ft without training. Hope all your grows go well =]

Get a large container cut the bottom out find a location near water but not so close that you are going to get fishermen stummbleing into your garden.work the soil you are going to plant in add some manure and a little lime then put your emty bucket in the ground you have just dug into this put some compost/perlite and some slow release feed you are going to have to visit once a week for the first week then after that visit every 2 week each time you visit water the plants same has second time give them a real good soaking then after that just check them every so often it is a good idea to get a strain like white rhino that is very good at not getting mould each time it rains its a good idea to go down if you can and shakeoff the rain that will be on your plant.if you know somewere were there is a river that floods alot in winter plant at the farest part away from the river the soil where the river has been will be full of natural nutrients mine will be going in beginning of may and i'm up north.best to do a few recis first see if the area your planting in will get enougth sun visit in the morning and afternoon if the sun has arched around your spot your home but up north not dry the reason i mentioned the bucket earlyer is you can put 3/4 garden canes around the inside of the bucket and wrap chicken wire round belive me everything loves eating weed also put a load of lime around the bottom of the bucket .your plant will grow through the grow medium in the bucket straight into the ground you preped before putting your bucket there.don't forget if you see any buckets with plants growing out leave them there probebly mine.good look.

I hope all you UK growers can establish a standard grow method and perhaps create a land race by natural selection, so far the results I have seen have not been too shabby, keep up the good work and try to plant natural also in order to obtain the distinct traits of your climate zone, some of you country BLOKES gotta start breeding some strains like in holland, come on now... I want to see a strain called the Queen! Come on fellas... You UK boys need your own strain, so, get to work, fat reps to UK growers from a Midwestern toker ;)...,

Many 'indoor' strains will do just fine outdoors in the UK. Durban Poison is excellent for example. Two years ago I planted the 8" stump of an indoor grown harvested "Northern Lights" outside to reveg in early May, straight in the earth. She came flying back and by early October gave me over 7 dried OZ of really fine bud. What surprised me was that although the buds were of course much looser/leafier the trich coverage was amazing and the hit was every bit as good as that first indoor harvest from her....a mate would not believe it was UK outdoor bud :-)

What I'm saying here is don't waste those indoor harvested plants! PLanted outdoors in April/May they will reveg naturaly for a major second harvest come Autumn. If anyone needs any advice on revegging for outdoors just shout before you dump them!

A few of my mates are having an indoor grow of northern lights, they harvest in about 6 weeks, if i took the harvested plant from them and planted it outside in my grow spot along with my other plants would i be able to have another harvest of that plant by october? is there anything that needs to be done so this will work? and does anyone know what yeild i will probably get from purple power plants rown outdoors?

Hi sm1thy,

Absolutely, YES! 6 weeks time things will be warming up and that is a good time to plant out. You need do nothing but to trim her up so that you leave a little bit on there (bear with me and I'll post a pic showing how much to leave later). Gently remove from the pot and plant into a hole straight into the earth. You will need to do nothing but water only if the ground gets very dry. For about 2/3 weeks nothing will happen but then you see new growth begining to emerge and new shoots starting. This is simply the plant naturally reacting to the changing light cycle/longer daylight hours. Once the roots are established you will be very surprised how strong that little stump will grow back, take it from me.

I'll dig up some reveg pictures if anyones interested?

Thanks alot phoenix :D

yeah if you could put up a couple of pics for me to look at that would be great, so if i tell my friends to leave a bit of the plant after they have harvested it then plant it outside it wll grow, thats great:D can you do this more than twice because its a good way of saving money instead of buying new seeds or having to mess about cloning them which i wasnt looking forward to doing as im a newbie :P

I'll take a shot of a reveg I have here for you later but basically ask your friend to leave some of the 'popcorn' buds right at the bottom on the stem. Ask him to trim carefully, don't hack it! Once you have her plant her in the ground and water in with plain water, she will have flower nutes/boosters etc in her soil so plain water for a month at least will help to flush them out. You really wont need to do much at all beyond an occassional water. Remember that a plant in the earth will find much of what it needs itself.

Indoors you can reveg/reflower a few times but outdoors the frost will get her next winter, but by then you will have a very good harvest. You will be looking to harvest around mid October time. rainfall does not affect these palnts outdoors, the buds will continue to glisten even through summer rainfall, infact they look beautiful like that, but then I'm a sentimental old sod :-) Bottom line is, outdoor UK bud is excellent, dont let anyone tell you otherwise!
