well may be 3 or 4 clones, i was only messing saying take 30 and do a sog. i was joking, 30 wouldnt be poss.
Gotchya....I still wouldn't waste my time though.

Get some fresh stock, start over and do it right next time. We all makes mistakes, just need to learn from them and move on. :peace: Best of luck with it all!

I could get MAYBE 1 clone out of it.

The plant appeared to have pistils, but it very well could have been new plant growth, as the plant has not started to flower at all. I fully expect it to go hermie. I put it back under 24hr lights though.

Its not a waste of time, I like to think of it as a project- a challenge even.

you could clone the top and grow out the rest? If you wanted?
Thats kind of what I was thinking. I dont know what these other guys are smoking, that think i can get 30 clones out of this thing (or even 4 is redicuous), because its just not happening. Thing is tiny as shit. I dont see why with the proper light and a fan, the plant should begin to thicken out, and eventually stand on its own, no?

So basically, heres what Ive learned about cloning, in a nutshell.

Ill want to cut the plant at 3-6" from the top, removing all but two leaves. Removing the excess leaves should promote root growth? Ill get a rooting solution (Agway?) and some 1" rockwool cubes. And some kind of cover to keep humidity in. Whats the general rule of thumb for watering? Should I just keep the rockwool wet at all times, or what? What temp and humidity should this be at?

You should really LST the plant I think thats the way to go to save it and thickin out the stem! If you dont know how to go to the growfaq and click on grow methods and mediums and there is info on LST. Well thats all I gots I wish you the best with your plant and keep up with some pictures Id like to watch what happens PEACE.

well...a lot has been said here so far....hmmmm.....cloning certainly an option, though the overall plant health might be quite stressed by that.....I would be inclined to go with the lst....and encourage the growth to be vertical form a horizontal stem.....but is certainly looks like it would like to have more light...and the soil looks rather compacted? not very airy ? good luck!

Hey thanks for the reply. I think for now, LST is the best way to go. I am, first and foremost... a noobie, and I dont think Im ready to try to clone yet. I'd probably just kill it. Maybe we'll try LST for a while and if the plant begins to grow, ill leave it. If it doesnt do anything, Ill try to take a clone.

Ill get pictures of the new setup next time im there. New soil, new lights, new fan, etc.

hey SS....I think the LST will be a good choice....light and water and air and nutes (whether from the soil or added?)......will help the plant grow. good luck, and we look forward to your pics!

I think i might actually move my entire grow over to his house, and run everything from there. It will benefit his plant, and mine will be more secure than they are here. Hopefully this girl pulls through, i hope i didnt get to it too late. But if i do move it to his house, this plant would be recieving light from 8 more CFL's, which should really help.

The three part soil (perlite, peat moss, scotts PS) does actually have adequate nutrients to carry the plant from seedling until flowering (but not through flowering). I have some blooming nutrient that I'll use during flowering. But for now, I just want the plant to continue vegging. It has been under 12/12 for some time now... will switching it back to 24/0 cause it to go hermie? If it does, so be it- we'll just grow it alone then. Smoking bud with seeds is nothing new to us.

thanks for the update....yea the additional light is critical....light = energy. the soil sounds like it should be more than adequate. these plants are pretty darn resilient....and given the chance...they will grow again despite previous abuse and conditions.....the final results will have been forever influenced, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy what it does produce....the hermie thing with lighting is hotly debated. The trigger of switching lighting or a number of other factors introduces stress to the plant and the plant responds to that stress in a variety of different ways. and going hermie is one of those ways. male female hermies....they all provide some smoke....the quality obviously varies....

yea sort funny eh...like seeing all the various challenges that people have, and overcoming them, etc. its really all about learning to see what works in your unique situation....and everyone's individual situation is totally unique...the journey is as fun as the destination....though in this case, the destination has some pretty awesome rewards! good luck!
