Help with CFL's

Hey guys, im not sure if these bulbs will work or not so thought i'd pop on here and ask :)

I brought them because i saw the 'Warm White' title on them. However, when i got home i took a closer look and read the top, heres what it says;

21W/827
LUMILUX
Warm White
1230 lm
220 - 240V
B22d - 50/60 Hz

The thing thats alerted me is the '1230 lm' part, does this mean the lumons? Cus if so, is that too low to flower in?

yes that is lumens and lumens would be how bright the bulb is. Your looking for Kelvins for flowering looks for 2700k is what you want and 6500k for veg.

You will want around 10k lumes per plant at leaste.

If you are micro growing you can go with less...

Lumens are a meaurement for the human eye and have nothing
to do with plants, with plants it's about incident energy, the
energy that hits the leaf that the plant can actually use for photosynthesis.

Lumens is weighted to certain colors which happen to be less effective for plant
production.

Alright cheers for the quick replies mate but where do i find the kelvins on the bulb?

I thought the lumons wud have to be a lot higher then that to be absorbed? or do they all add up? Bit lost on this one guys. I know the rateing i need and everything but im new to CFL's :)

Btw, the glow from the bulbs is a very orangy / red colour in comparision to the vegging lights i have atm. (If that helps at all)

Okay, i think i might of just found some vital information online. I searched the bulb and found all the stats on the bulb and one thing drew my attention.

Colour Temperature: 2,700 K

Is that the kelvin rating?
