help with germination - quick please

so i got 6 seeds. 4 strains. i was thinking about using the shot glass method.

i heard it takes from 6 - 24 hours. if the seed sinks, i can plant it. what happens if it doesnt sink in 24 hours? also, what happens if i throw them in a shot glass now and they sink in the morning. i dont have any soil yet, im going to get some 2morro dinner time.

if the seeds have sunk, how long can i leave them in for basicly?

in my situation should i just use the paper towel method?
 
I've used both with great success. My best results so far are overnight in shot glass and when the seed cracks I take some tweezers and stick them POINTy side down into a soil plug. I then put a teaspoon of helpful bacteria (from local grow shop) and I will show you pics of my plants roots tonight when my bro gets home with the camera in 7 days the plugs has INSANE roots jumping out everywhere. I keep a CFL with reflector point blank on top of the germination tray lid and remove the plants as the roots outgrow the plugs.
 
i used a shot glass more than once but i find a wet papertowel in a ziplock works faster...
just keep in a darkkkkk kkkkkk kk place...
 
paper towel has to be wet but not too wet. i usually fold mine into a square then place the seeds a little bit away from eachother. then ill take that paper towel and put it in a nice dark place with a fairly constant temp, nothing cold though. should sprout in 1-2 days and anything longer then that, you might not have enough moisture or your seeds might not sprout.

the can take up 2 a week to sprout.

anyway i used paper towel method. i didnt check if they had germinated this morning bcoz i havnt got any soil yet, so no point. im going to get some soil and perlite in a few hours so ill check later.
