Nah you’ll be fine. I use a T5ho an the light will be1-2” away with no issues

Awesome thank you! So another question. When should I add white light? So far I have red and blue. When should I turn it over to full?

Maybe consider buying one of those $10 green 3 Way Meters. It lets you know when your soil is dry and when your lights are too far away. Possibly more accurate than a poll, too.
