Some plants just dont make the cut. Also the stem may be stretched because it is reaching for the sun. Is this indoor or Outdoor?

no its fine. it probably does not have enough light tho, if your other plants are doing well thats good. Just see what happens to this plant in time.

You should look into getting a different light(s)... High Pressure Sodium lights are a pretty good option for all around growing. You always want the light(s) within a few inches of your plants.

I just had one of my little ones do that last week. Tie it off loosely to a stake, and give it a week or so. It should strengthen up and be fine.

Have you had a fan running? This will strengthen the stems. Also try and bury it as close as you can to the first leaves...it might help.

Yeah, you should be fine with burying the stem a bit...

How far are the first set of leaves from the soil, and whats the overall height of the plant?

the plant is young, about 2 weeks old. the first set of leaves is at the top the second set hasnt completely come in yet, and the overall height is about 5 inches.

Ok, before you try burying the stem any further...

1) Make sure your lights stay within a couple inches of the top of the plant. You dont want it reaching out for light any further than it needs to.
2) You can buy small bamboo stakes at your local hardware/gardening store. Stick one into the soil, roughly 1-2" away from your stem. I usually take a razor knife and make a notch for my string to catch on when I tie it off... thin string, small coated wire, twist ties, ect... you want something that you can tie off thats not going to be abrasive to the stem.

If a couple weeks passes, and you dont think that the stem is getting any stronger then you can mound up a small amount of dirt (it should look like a mini mole hill) around the stem. You just want enough to support it until it gets a little bigger.

Hope that helps.
