looks great..have the hairs started to slow down? or is it just keep growing?
Honestly the tops that began new growth are still growing, though they have slowed down a little. The white hairs are still popping out and hardly any of the new growths hairs are orange yet, just a couple.
Like I was saying before, judging when this plant should come down is going to be a matter of getting it when the new is just barely old enough and the old is not too far gone too still be good. I figure that there is a lot more older growth than newer growth on this plant so I better cater to it a little more than the new growth. The older growth is looking soooo good, I absolutely can not wait until I can pull one of these colas out of a jar where it's been curing for a month and break off a piece to share with my friends. Here's the last pics of the new growth before I harvest, I'll take more for sure then....

Chopped this morning as planned. When I finally pulled on the 'Y' below I got one giant root ball shaped just like the bucket. Having it hanging in my garage made it look like a ton, it smelled great in there for a couple hours... I didn't get a chance to trim it all so I'll pick back up on that either tonight or tomorrow morning...

You know what guys, I could've seen this stuff going 19 weeks, I don't know why but this is just such a slow flowering plant, perhaps this was just a touch early, but I think 17 weeks and 6 days is far enough to be very happy with the results, hell, I am already happy with the results :) :) :)
I'll be back as I get to do some more trimming and finally get stuff weighed out... thanks and happy growing to the both of you gents!

almost 18 weeks, but it would've gone 20 easy... I have two or three more of these that I will crack one day when I'm brave and up for a challenge... I've got a few 13 times cup winning White Widow seeds stashed right now, and 5 femed AK-48's on the way now, I'm anxious to do a few short early finishers after this 5 month monster

Wow, this trim job is relentless, between all these little thin leaves and all the burnt leaves I'm determined to remove this is taking forever... I've only got a couple hours a day I can trim and I'm not even half way done with it all.... about the time I start to jar it (7 days) I should be getting close to finishing trimming...

PS ~ She definitely could've gone a while longer, the trics aren't even all cloudy under a scope, it's ok though, live and learn.

waiting for the dry yeild/pics.:hump: ..and smoke report.
Me too MeanGreen, this stuff is drying extremely slow, I need to adjust my out-flow from the tent, I couldn't stand it so I just clipped a nice fat little bud from her and even after 5 days of drying I still got water vapor on the bottom of a plate after nuking her for 34 seconds on defrost. Oh well, experiment worked but might as well do something with the leftovers!
Some of the bud still has a hay smell to it, but regardless when you touch it it releases a pungent skunky smell. Hope fully in cure the skunky will override the hay.
Smoke was picked too early still I think, but not by much... so far the high is soo much strong then when I took those first samples a month ago. At the moment the high could best be described by asking, do you know how you feel or look when some one or something perks your interest and catches your attention at the same time? That's how it could be described; feeling, cerebral, uplifting, and I wanna fidget in a controlled way with something small... and not my pecker either. This is part of the reason I think I was motivated to chop when I did, the high is pretty awesome. The taste, well; I think I know the difference between harsh and burnt and I feel like it's better described harsh at this point, I'm trimming really well, getting anything that isn't pretty off the plant so nothing burnt is getting smoked, that I can tell. It's a lip smacker with a very deep taste right now.
More pics to come after the rest of the bloody trimming is done, and I start clipping more buds off those still hanging branches, they aren't massive, but oh man, they are the biggest buds I've ever grown.

im sure the "harsh" taste will go away with cureing. i smoked some bud once that wasnt fully dryed/cured and it was ok.waited two weeks of cureing and the smoke was amazing. thanks for the smoke report.

I filled up the 12th mason jar this morning and I still have at least 2 more jars worth to go... Once that is trimmed off in the next couple days I should finally have a finished weight on this girl... in just a min I'm going to try burning the first joint of this stuff... I'm very excited. There is a smell that is emerging in the first few jars that we're sealed that is going to warrant some further examination.... it was like no other cannabis I've ever smelled, it was like some kinda fruit.... more on that to come soon...

I know it's airy, but 14 mason jars is quite the one plant harvest. Congratulations,my friend. Now's the time to sit back and enjoy the "fruits" of your labor. By the sound of it you may have more than anyone guessed. Anything on deck?

Ok, I'm a little shocked right now, and I'm going to have to do the math again to make sure I didn't fudge something up, but here's what I did:
I weighted one of the mason jars empty - 441 grams. After that I weighted all the jars that I have full and subtracted the difference to get a line of numbers that I then added up, I also added in a big bowl full that isn't jarred yet.... I have a pic to show what's left hanging in the tent, so you see how far I have until I'm done... the weight so far.... ready for this? 387 grams.... !!!!

I know for a fact that I smoked about a quarter ounce off this plant before I picked it, and I didn't even weight the zip lock bag I have pictured below that I've been smoking out of recently... this isn't final, just a progress report... either way, I'm a little stunned at how much is here.... very light and fluffy, but there's just so much of it!

Edit: ok, I'm back, high, and still thinking about this, 387 grams is 13.821 ounces, that's only 2.17 ounces away from 1 pound. I wonder if what's hanging in pic 1 could end up another 2.17 ounces and help me hit the pound mark? I'm gonna say it's another ounce maybe, either way, that's gonna make it over 400 grams with a 3x3 space and a 400 watt light... for a newb, I'm satisfied.

All I've been doing so far is just opening the jars for a while 1-2 times a day, I haven't dumped them out yet... I guess I should get on that.... man, this is hard to manage with a lot of herb at one time. Makes me wish I just had one giant air tight container for all of it. How much do you see me loosing after cure? I mean, I'm very happy with the amount, I'm just curious how much weight is lost in cure?
