Well basically i am starting up to grow for the first time..i have decided to grow in soil. anyway i pretty much have the basic's down. i am going to go to lowe's to buy fox farm soil. would i be able to get fax form nutrients at lowes or home depot? if not are there any sites that sell them? i also planned on using distilled water for the entire grow, is that ok? now on to lights..where can i go about purchasing some good grow lights? i have some money to spend but not a huge budget so can anyone help me decide on where online i can buy light bulb setups that will be good for the vegatative and flowering state as well? if i o have to use two different types, which is good for whiich? basically my main concern is the light setup, i just need to know where i can buy them. any help would be appreciated. i am looking forward to learning alot from this.

This is my first grow too. I have 2 clones in an earthbox and a 4oo watt hps. They're doing good i think. New growth everyday. We'll see what happens.

i would go with the cfls because they put out hardly any heat, use very little energy and are very cost efficient.the 150w. replacement gets 2600 lumens!:peace:

go to home depot or lowes to get ur cfl"s and fixtures.the MH and HPS puts out alot of heat and thats not good for a small crop in a small space.

alright cool i just go to those places? how much should cfl's cost? if they aren't too expensive i'll go out and buy em today actually. just really need soil nutrients and lights and i should be good

well i decided on cfl's basically because of the minimal power consumption they have compared to hps's..how many cfl's should i use to grow around 4 plants or so?

i have three plants in my aerogarden and ant 2 150 w. replacement cfl's for each plant.thay are still very small, so the aerogardeb hood is good enough for now.
