Roll it up mentioned the common thought of "amber" being indicative of THC degradation and that the plant is done with it's life/flower cycle. You have been referring two different types of "Amber" Translucent (clear) Amber and Cloudy (opaque) Amber.

Would you care to expand on exactly what you were trying to point out with the two different types of Amber?

Every one says that amber is bad, it is the sign of THC degrading into CBN's yet all the actual scientific studies that I have found say otherwise. The one study says it does not happen for the 1st 6 months and this under bad storage conditions.
As of right now this is just a theory and it needs to be proven but based on the fact that my amber early strains only need one hit to get me high and that it is not a couchlock high I began doing this research to try and figure out WTF is goin on?
The test kit should arrive next week sometime and I will then test my new CTF strain to see what the %'s are for THC, CBD, & CBN ? I have also left a bud of my HD sit out on my coffee table it will have sat there in the open air for a month when the test kit gets here and I will compare it to a jarred bud of the same harvest to see what the actual difference is
I will then report my findings
it is my contention that the clear translucent amber is the best high,,,,,,
we will see?

So is it the light? UVB? Sulphur? Is anyone of the above responsible or the combination? Would the addition of the UVB creat more trichs by itself? The only thing I dont have other than growing in hydro is the uvb. I run both hps and t6's and my nutez contain sulphur but christ if it takes 100+ days i'll have too grow twice as much each run lol.

It is not a combination with the ones in veg because they don't have UVB (yet) There was no doubt that the T5's made the weed more potent as I have now grown the same strains under both lights. It is also a fact that the sulfur makes it more potent as I changed from one Jack's 20-10-20 to another and the only difference was the addition of sulfur in the new nute. With both of these changes I noticed a bump in potency. This next run will be a good test for the UVB as I added it in the middle of flower on this last seed run, next run will be a bud run.
So as I write this and think about it it has to be the added sulfur on top of the sulfur in the Jack's,I started doing that with just these current plants. It is 14% sulfur that I picked up at a garden nursery

Last night I smoked me some Thunderfuck (took 2 bong hits) and I was in heaven, it was old school, it crept, it numbed and made my hair and skin crawl, it was racy and trippy, I laughed a lot, I heard little whooshes following every sound, the images on the TV twitched in slow motion. I paced a lot and my legs never stopped moving if I sat. It took an hour to peak and the come down was very nice.
It was damn near all amber and there was no couch lock !!! I knew I was onto something with this now we just need to spread the word !!!

It is def my new strain, I am not saying that if you let any of todays strain go to amber that they will be better I was never saying that, I am talking early amber as being the sign of great MJ and trust me if you had smoked the thunderfuck you would not say Wooo
IMO I have proven my theory, if a strain makes early amber it is not a bad thing and it is def not couch lock !!!
I've got folks comin in the next week that will smoke some and there will be other smoke reports besides just mine

With this thread my intent was to show growers that early amber is a good thing, and that if your breeding it is what you are looking for !!! Along the way I shared some nice grow tips and that is always fun. And, yes, I did achieve one of my breeding goals now to get the other two LOL
