Hey Please check out the grow im in need of some pointers.

I want to Post these pics Because i Learned every thing from forums on rollitup.org threw my cell phone, now i have the internet lol, well i been growing these for 5 weeks now and have a pic for every week (sunday) lol im not a photographer, i have som purple stems mainly the skunk # 1 and Purgple dragon but i think the purp dragn is naturaly purple.

I start from week 2 Because i bought them as clones and i figure they were about 2 weeks old,
they all came in 1" rockwool cubes with baby roots comeing threw the cubes, i placed them in 3" net pots, Keep in mind i didnt know what hydroponics was before i came to roll it up .org,

im using advanced nutrients and some humbolt root stabilizer or what ever it is called but im going to stop using it because i think its turning my roots brown, im on phase mild flowering on the nuts i think i might go with 1 more week of it before add more nuts,

I would Like every one to post any thing about the plants, i can use any information. thank in advanced.

Looks ok.. do you have a ph meter and EC or PPM meter? for the most part keep that ph in check and remember less is nutes is better then to much.. what kind of light are you using?

How light-proof is that reservoir of yours? You want to make sure that you block or at least filter the light getting to that water. You dont want to have an algae problem. I've used doubled-over black garbage bags, and it works pretty well.

I see 3 things going wrong.... over fertalized, which in turned locked something out and Magnesium deficiency.

Flush for 3 days with tap water PH'd and add 1 tsp per gall of Epsom salt(trust me) to res and mix 1tbsp per gall in a spray bottle and spray it on the leaves. after the 3 days you should notice the color in the plants come back and just back off the nutes when making the new batch. maybe fill the res first then introduce the nutes one at a time and mix thoroughly.

They look pretty good, the red stems is some sort of stress. Some times I have a clone or two that do that, but they get better. Use the IMG code from photobucket instead of link, it will make it easier for everyone. Did you say that you are flowering them already, or just using the flowering nutes? What kind of light are you using?

Well iv been using flower nuts from stage 1 vegged for 5 weeks i use 400w mh right now with flower im going to switch to hps next week,
the grow stage iv been on is the first week of flower and now thats what stage the plants are on, so what do you think if i use the same strength for 1 more week do u think it might help or should i just flush with Epson salt?

I don't see any major problems in the leaves to say strong nute problem. Usually when the leaves are a light yellowish green they could use more food. When they get real dark your over doing it a little bit. If you start to get brown spots and the tips start to turn up, you're really over doing it and need to flush a few days to a week. It will also be more than just one or two leaves on the plant that show major issues. Once plants start to flower they need more food.

I have a ppm meter but I don't use it very often. When I first got it I used it a lot, but now I just mix my nutes by what the bottle says. When I flush my plants I use it to tell when to change the water. I use my ph meter every other day, because I use Botanicare nutes and ph bounces around a little. Mostly it goes down, but my water is 7.2 so I just add some water when I need to bring it up. I pay more attention to ph than ppm, because if your ph is off too much your plants can't get the nutes they need regaurdless of your ppm. Nute lock out from built up salts or bad ph can also make your leaves light and yellowish. If you change your water when you're supposto salt build up shouldn't be a problem.

I don't know, man, I don't ever trust tap water. You never know how much dissolved solids are in there. 2.5gal jugs of distilled water aren't expensive...

The lowest my ph get is 5.4 the highest is 6.3 when i add ph down i like it 5.8 for veg and 6.0 for flower, how about you? i change the res with 10 gallons of RO water and just add the nuts every week, im planning on flushing the res for 3-6 days, some one recommended a tea spoon of epson salt per gallon would help, what do you think about that? im using the 400 w mh right now 1 week into flower but im going to change to hps on Friday also. i have another week of pics that look alot better my master is doing great and is starting to grow 2 main stems, the bubba gas 2 long main stems and the skunks doing what it does ,lol.

im also thinking about adding big bud bud candy and over drive in a week,

Sounds like you'll be fine. You seem alot stricter than I am and the worst crop I grew was still mediocre (was my first).
I have a friend that used big bud candy in his watering regimen with a soil Blue Dream and Lavender crop. I don't know if it made a difference cuz he didnt grow any without it, but I don't think his plants yielded much. Then again he had horrible heat and ventilation problems.
One thing i do know makes a difference is Liquid Karma. I think its made for soil, but I've seen it used in hydro, and we saw pretty noticeable results in growth, yield and overall health.
How is your ventilation, btw?

vent is good im hoping that the new hps light wont be to much hotter than the mh, i got a 4000 cfm fan from a yard sale for 2 dollars awesome deal, this is my first grow and i consider it a petty experiment, when i sale the buds im going to buy an actual ebb and flow 12 potted system,

4,000 CFM?! is that a typo? What kind of fan is it?

Im going to put some week 5- 6 pics up, the look alot different now, i looked in this morning and the Skunk #1 wich nevver had any green on the stems, all the new growth is green! i guess its cuz its on the right feeding stage now maybe i dont have to flush the root. but we will see,

i want to see how the overdrive and bud candy work the most, p.s my master kush witch is the one i considered my baby from the get go is doing the best, i topped it at 10" i know i waited to long, the bubba was topped at 8" and now has 2 3" main stems growing. the dragon i topped wrong i clipped 2 nodes off and now it seems to be growing only 1 main stem. i keep every one posted on my grow, i vegged it for 5 weeks how long does any one think it should be flowered for?

Like I said, it was probably just stressed when cloned.

Usually 8 to 12 weeks depending on strain. They will probably finish at different times. Because you know the different strains, I would go to different seed bank websites to find out flowering leingth. They usually say what the flowering period is for the strains they sell.


Those Pics are tiny. It's hard to get a good look at the plants, but they still look a little light to me.
