HiD lighting..

OK so finally am upgrading to a 400w HiD lights...size of tent is 4x2x5ft. ...so oo ìve been looking around and all I need answered is how far away from top of plants...is 12 -15 inches ok? Basically what I am finding in my research is that but would like second confirmation?

I've just done all I can and want to do with t5s/cfl's just hate it's not dense, so hence the upgrade

Yeah I got mine about 12 inch away maybe a little bit less and I'm using a 600 not 400 just thought I'd add that in

Exactly what I needed thanks man....and I will adD this in lol before someone jumps down my throat, but I've searched around and was getting mixed answers (not to crazy, but I have my strains dialed in to t5s, so I just don't wanna mess it up) and searched the RIU search bar...everything is so old no pictures work or links don't either...I wonder if there's any way they can update the search engine maybe newest to oldest ?

18 inches to 4 ft from the canopy is fine. Obviously you want it as close as possible without burning your plants. If your hand is uncomfortably ho at canopy, your plants will be too.

I keep my 400 10-14 inches away from tops.
