If your really worried about the soil ph being to high the get some Espoma Soil Acidifier if youre growing in soil
high soil pH 7.8 and what I should do about it

Throwing in my 2 cents. I've never checked runoff pH. Never felt the need to do so. I don't look for problems that aren't there.
