Dec 31, 2008: Jamrock and I germed 10 seeds (THANKS FDD!) and put them in dirt.
The seeds are 5 each:
Hijack 2008 F1axF3
Hijack 2008 F1bxF3
The seeds were germed in a Tupperware container we set on top of the cable box (for warmth). I know the tails are long--I was busy, LOL! So they sat a day longer than I would have liked.
We're using a coco mix (we grow outdoors), and these are 4" pots.
I watered from the bottom using pH'd water, and put the dome on to speed up saturation.
To start, I am using only one CLF, indirectly, to draw the young sprouts out of the soil. I have a bad history of burning them because I can be impatient--so indirect light will force me to let the plants do their thing, instead of forcing them to do mine.
This morning (1/1/09), two of the ten have broken the surface! 2009 is off to a great start.
Let's see what develops!
ASIDE:
Jan 1, 2009: Happily, this morning the single Grape Ape seed my friend found in his jar yesterday has germed. Let's throw that in dirt and watch what happens!
