Lenses are the whole deal with Camala. What else separates these lights from hundreds of other led lights from China using the same cheap parts? No super fantastic 3rd generation lenses and HGL marketing is kinda shotin the ass.

Could run em at 4”.

How much do you really think spectrum matters? I would think at best it would give you a 10% increase over white assuming the same effeciency. No science involved in that number just a guess. The way you talk about it it seems like you think spectrum alone can double yield. That just seems crazy
The way i talk about it? Or the way i lay down the facts only & when its my Opinion i say so, so there's no confusion.
But on that note, yes, i think spectrum is equally as important as quantity of light. Same opinion now as i had 2 or 3 yrs ago when i casted that same vote on the Quantity vs Quality thread.
And that is why i have always used Amare rather then just COBs or whatever. Its an old & now mute contraversy that accrued several times early in. Im just glad that other companies are realizing & adapting so that growers can get the full benefits of using led.
Is Hgl's spectrum superior? You guys are acting like it is already & you're the ones who are against it... i am reading all this right, correct?
From what I'm seeing in flower thus far is equal qualities in performance, but in 2 different forms. These forms took place primarily due to spectral differences but not limited to ppfd differences as well.
Some growers would prefer the size & stature of the HGL Tree while others may prefer the tight density of the HLG Bush.
I have seen equally sized differenced plants of the same cut/mom yield the same thing. Just one did it in a smaller space.
My best hps run as for efficiency g/sq' goes dates back to yr 2 & it was a Bonzia bush run that got 12 oz a plant. Very, very small plants overfeed on Facilitator by a friend who gave them to me.
Idk! You guys confuse me. Try so hard to troll you jump sides so many times.
Just be happy with the vote you casted n get over it dude. It is what it is, whatever that is.

Oh, BTW! I would like to apologize for a statement i made on one of these threads. Something along the lines of "Bump what anyone has to say about components" .
I did not mean that & was responding out of frustration.
It is exactly all of your combined opinions & knowledge that helped this company & probably many others strive too become better then what they once were.
So, just to clear the air cuz that's been pulling a string in my head everyday since i said it. My bad!
EDITTED: @Randomblame , i always respect & value your opinions. I think you Brought it up, another Trolled it up n then i Vomited it up. Lol! Yo, no disrespect toward you homie! Ever!

I think if she replaced the green with white her light would be significantly better. You get output and spectrum. but the whole hgl argument is the spectrum is so amazing that added white light would ruin it and provide worse results because the spectrum is different

Yup, but as I'm sure you were paying attention in the beginning, the owner said & showed that they had tried that with a previous spectrum using the same train of thought or reasoning (broadening) & ended up with lesser results. Idk man, im with you on the whole added white to replace green thing myself but we did not run those tests so we do Not Know.

How much do you really think spectrum matters?
I came from HID, as a lot of people have, and will.
Us old HID growers even recognize the importance of spectrum.
We veg with MH in the Veg stage for higher Blue. Why?
We flower with HPS in the Flower stage for more Red. Why?
I've never grown with CMH, but some people like its spectrum for both stages.
Also seedlings and clones. Florescent t5 kills it. Why?
White LED grow light companies offer different K, such as 4000k, 3500k, 3000k, 2700k etc.. Why?

Anyway. I think the general consensus is that spectra matter a significant amount. Enough for people to spend money on different setups for different stages.
