Bananas on a female plant shows she has the potential to pollinate herself and others. The male flowers on a Herm are not always viable, or they may appear so late in flower as to have no effect.

Great White is spot on. You do need to worry though. Don't want to lose a crop to a hermie. Just keep a careful eye. I've gotten rid of anything that shows hermie traits. I lost a couple months and a lot of plants because of one hermie in the tent.

well mine are popping up on one of my many females during week 5
A lot of people (myself included) just hate to chop a plant after months of tender loving care so we resort to pulling the little buggers on a daily basis. Unfortunately they are small and sometimes buried in a bud and I don't always get them all so I occasionally end up with 10 or 12 seeds per plant, which is not all bad - bomb weed with a supply of seeds. The thing you don't want to happen is for her to get fully seeded (that sux !)

well im currently flowering it with a 600 watt HPS ushio bulb, i do have a room i can place this plant but it iwll be under 240 watt flouro bulbs 6500k spectrum. should i move the plant or chop it?! i was doing a breeding project (pollen from other males) with this plant and im super pissed it turned hermie after all the seeds started getting big... now i have hermie seeds most likely

ive read before that if a female plant does get banannas and polinates herself that the seeds will be femmd (not sure how true this is), it happened to me late on the last grow so i decided to grow a couple of them, if they are femd ill kno in bout a month or so ill be starting flowering ina bout a week or two...

not true, from experience the seeds i got for this strain came from a bag of lavender kush, the seeds were S1 (self pollenated) and i got 3 males and 1 female, which turned out intersexed...

All the seeds I've germinated so far (around 65) that I have gotten from my plants have all been female.
Kind of a win - win situation in my book.

I had a pineapple chunk hermy on me not long ago... not that devistating,, got about 25 seeds and alot of nice bud aswell. All seeds so far (done about 15) have turned out fem and im pretty confident that the rest will be aswell, I like my odds :)
Streets, you said that they turned out intersexed, does this mean you had another herm or a male in your room?

If you are really worried about seeds I'd chop.
Even if its in another room your remaining ladies could get pollinated just from your activity.

one for one lol one of you says no and one of you says that yes you have gotten femd seeds from this......well im hopin for the later one, im hopin for all females but we will see, i have pretty good luck gettin females anyways so well see what happens lol....last grow i germd 7 seeds and come flower they all were female, and the seeds werent from anything i grew....

okay everyone who doesn't know what intersexed means, it means when a female plant starts producing male parts, not sacs (bunches of bananas) like you would see on a male or hermie plant, but strictly single bananas.

just done some reading on it now... if the plant hermied due to stress, the plants genetics are all female, thus you will have female seeds... If the plant hermied for no apparent reason, then the hermie trait is likely to be genetic, due to some cock up in the breeding process, you stand a chance of getting male seeds (and carrying on the hermie trait, which isnt ideal if your gunna get male seeds)
take care guys,

lol im hopin for the same results.....

well im not going to chop imma take my chances, place her in another room and spray the bitch down with water every day in hopes of deactivating some of the pollen if any is even produced.
