I would like to get information on creating my own strains. Like how is the process on making my own strain. The pros and cons of it. Any info would be helpful

get reg seeds, pheno hunt, collect pollen, cross with females in 3rd week of flower, collect seeds, "cure seeds" , start pheno hunt again.
Pros: it is a fun hobby, you can choose which attributes you want to breed for. "free seeds- see below"
Cons: yield will suffer - way more effective to choose one strain and run it hard, also any branches you pollinate will produce less. space - you will need more space/light for flowering males out away from females. you think your seeds will be "free" but in actuallity you will be buying more to add to your breeding stable. it takes a lot longer than you think. a lot of your crosses may produce shit results.

Try simply beating off and releasing on a clean bed sheet. Failing that, how about a few drops/pints of blood on a new garment?

Research it yourself you lazy ass.
It was just a simple question that requires a simple answer. Just wanted to retain some form of knowledge from experience people but that seem to be failing with all you guys acting like females on their periods. Do ya men need tampons

I guess isnt it quite possible someone whom grows exceedingly well and is good at the art but have had zero exposure breeding needing to ask how you begin to take that next step... things to focus on learning well before hand and such. If we all had all the answers why would we chat and swap ideas? I have no experience with breeding, dont plan on doing it but surevwould be stimulating just to understand it better... thats what i was hoping to read not a bunch of ppl bitching and bring rude to someone who just asked to to share some knowledge. So did yawl know how to breed 5 mins after planting your first seed? You ever had to ask a question while you learned? This negativity really bummed me out

i'd suggest maybe starting off studying up on gregor mendel and his breeding works, and i'd also suggest possibly joining a large gardening site / forum, and study on how people breed plants such as roses, pretty much any common garden plant.. i'd suggest on learning from a site like that and from gardners and scientists such as mendel and not from people associated with the canna world, no offense to them as i'm one myself..
learn what traits are true breeding once you get all of the above nailed down and feel comfortable with that you're doing, learn about recessive and dominant genes in cannabis, set a goal, work towards said goal, be prepared to fail, over and over.. work a line out as far as you can, don't stop at an f1 cross, and don't stop at an f2 of the same strain. try to get as homogeneous as you can..
that's a good start imvho..

you could also check out the book from robert c. clarke, marijuana botany, but again, i think it'd be better to start learning from non cannabis material first until you get the basics down, then once you feel you're comfortable with that, start reading stuff like the clarke book and learn more about cannabis related breeding, and things like i mentioned above, what traits are true breeding, which are dominant, which are recessive, blah blah blah..

Start with a plant you really like select two plants you like cross them grow those seeds watch the seedlings for the phenos you want then breed them and keep doing that for a few years and you will end up with a plant that is uniquely yours.
