How do you grow your 12 plants?

Im trying figure out how I would go about growing my 12 in a perpetual type grow and figure why not ask the people that already do it. I was thinking vegging 6 the same amount of time the plant needs to finishing in flowering. But then i would like to keep clones to replace the six going into flowering. That puts me to 18 plants which i dont want to do. Or would it just be best to keep 4 each, flower, vegg and clones. Thank you RIU and keep smoking

Unless you plan on purchasing clones every 2 months, your going to need to keep a mother plant. So it would be 1 mother and 5 clones in your Veg room and 5 clones in your Flowering room. Clones aren't considered plants until they have roots. With this method you can take cuttings 1 week before harvest and harvest every 2 months.

Better yet, Do what I do.
Veg 12 plants up, when you got the height you want cut off the two lowest branches and clone them, flip to 12/12.
Out of the 24 cuttings toss out the smaller ones and veg up the best 12 while your girls are flowering.
Wash, rinse repeat. 2 rooms, simple no mothers. harvest every other month.

Incorrect. A officer will count the cutting as a plant. If you want to do something like that you can try grafting but once you slice a branch off its assumed to be a plant. You can tell the officer that it doesn't have roots but you are not going to get anywhere when you are 12, 14 etc.. over your limit.

I grow from seed....start all seedlings under 24/0 T5HO....move to hps system to finish...I keep 12-15 plants perpetually, harvesting 4-6 per month.....

I have been under the impression and heard many times on here that "no roots, no plant" applies here, so cutting a week before isnt an issue. The issue is the guy flowering 12 and vegging 12. They dont need to be flowering to count though, thats for sure. The no roots thing is grey area, the vegging, is cut and dry. What I do is kinda messed up. Origionaly I planned on 4 flower, 4 veg, 4 clone.

Just a warning, I am only done with 1 harvest so far.

The current deal is: I have 2 big girls in my room and 2 that went straight from clone (I had 2 from seed end up male and had room for 2 more plants). Then I have 4 plants vegging. They are 2 dif types, both from bag seed. I got lucky though, one is an indica thats a 6-7 week strain (from the looks of it) and the other is a strong sativa who will take an easy 10-12 weeks (but omg, so much bud!). This way im gonna have a harvet every couple weeks once it gets going and just pop a vegging plant in.

Be careful on the clone thing though. If with clones you end up having 14 or 15, try and weed out which ones your gonna kill sooner rather than later. It really depends on if they cop wants to be a dbag or not and lets face it, its a cop. I refer to my plants as whos and cops as its for a reason.

I've heard the "No roots, No plant" thing as well. But we're only talking about a week long gray area. Once you harvest, it's over.

I have 5 chronic clones in flower (that I received in mid-December) between 18 and 51 days into 12/12, 1 bagseed hermie being harvested, and 6 fem seeds in veg between 4 and 45 days of veg. The first clone went to flower with no training at 8" and is now 25"+ while the others were trained somewhat CCOB style around a tomato cage to control the canopy/stretch. All of the ones done stretching are around 2 ft tall but have 5 - 15 tops that are all much more even with the canopy instead of 1 main cola.

I am trying growing from all fem seeds now. I just started 2 more seeds, 1 fem and 1 auto freebie, and once the next in flower is ready for harvest, the oldest in veg that just got transplanted for training will be moved to flower. I will keep the auto in the veg box and maintain 6 babies in veg while I keep rotating one through flower every 2 weeks. If the auto turns out well I may keep running 1 auto in my veg box as a bit of a gap-filler for when I need to leave a particular strain in flower longer.

Originally I wanted to do 6 plants in flower every 10 - 12 days but my 600w hps and 400w mh seem to penetrate the plants a lot better with 5 instead of 6. I only just added the 400w MH to my flower box a week ago because the ballast has been sitting around not being used, and I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner. They will spend about 2 weeks in each of the 5 positions and get rotated 120 degrees every day.

soo umm please tell me got that wembley from clone cause looks like your growing my phenotype I been passing around? I started with one seed of it from pyramid seeds in Amsterdam, Oh boy this is one of the best strains I grow for awhile now, as far as flavor it is incredibly fruity it is high yield and loves LST, FIM, and topping. Take good care of her if you got the good phenotype she is a keeper. I will post you some new pics of the giant wembley bush I got flowering and some old photos at another time. It is very important that you let her veg for a good month from clone, I found under 4 weeks is not enough for her in my environment.

If you can only grow 12 and you want to harvest as much as possible and the best medicine you can then IMHO you need to have a good source of clones from another place, this will be greatly to your advantage due to more factors then just time. I can not emphasize this enough!

Mine is from Pyramid Seeds, and I think it came in my first order of seeds. It was topped for 2 colas so it can be trained CCOB style around my cage. Speaking of which, time to go to the nursery for some more cages. :hump:

4 clone 4 veg 4 flower no need for a mother just pull cuts from vegging plants
This is how I set up my perpetual also. Basically harvesting 4 plants every month. Rather than having 12 to do at the end of flower and getting 3-4 grows in a year, I am always growing and cuting my load of work down by 2/3 basically. 12 plants worth of harvesting can be a lot for one guy, but 4 is pretty managable.

2 moms 5 veg 5 flower.
or marry a patient and double that. :)

We also like to stagger when we put plants in to flower so were never over our combined 5oz, and we never run out of smoke.

Thx.
I am harvesting the first of 5 chronics tomorrow. A bit early but she had was mostly cloudy with a couple amber trich's so it was close enough for me. I will let some of the others go a bit longer. I bought 10 clones, gave away 4, flowered 5, and culled one. I took some cuttings but they didnt survive. :(
