True. Sometimes way too true. I think it's just up to the person growing it. I like the strongest I can get that's clean enough to be consumed. Since I make edibles I want mine to be cleaner than I would expect my smoke to be. I find my way works for me. I like to keep the bud clean from the beginning. and a little extra a harvest. Maybe it will loose some but there's your choice.

If you grow inside the bud will be cleaner but still have the residue the foliar spray. And, in general, just a light collection of whatever. If that's acceptable then go for it. It doesn't seem to bother anyone.

If you grow outside it's a different story. Shit happens, literately. Bug, bird and whatever. Personally, that falls outside my comfort zone. Even if it cost me so much potency that I have to eat 3 cookies instead of 2, I want my bud clean and I grow outdoors. The way I clean mine is to hose the plants off lightly in the early morning while there is still dew. The plants are already wet from the dew so a light misting with the hose shouldn't hurt. If the plants don't dry right away I use a battery powered blower on them. Got no problem with how I do it.

The plants are pretty smart and they pull mobile nutrients from the bottom and/or damaged leaves as the leaves die. Best to allow the plant to do the work. Your plant currently looks fine but I'd stop fiddling and just watch her for a bit and let her do her thing.

Then again I only grow hydro, indoors so ymmv.

I’m brand new to growing weed but have been growing veggie & flowering plants for years.

I agree about not messing with healthy plants too much. Light-catching leaves = more photosynthetic activity. Removing such leaves might be hobbling the plant, if only a little.

About the whole pot size thing. Sometimes a person’s situation is such that they don’t want to grow huge plants, in which case they can help control how big the plants get by using smaller than optimum sized pots.

Exactly my situation I just want to make it thru the full process even if it only means an ounce lmao

If a lot of rain is expected, rig something to keep rain outta the soil. If sun, dig a hole and secure a well-placed cheap umbrella or other sunshade. Burlap cloth makes a good & cheap sunshade. It's about to rain now, I have them underneath a car port right now pretty shaded, does this mess up the plants light cycle? They usually get another hour of light but right now I got em put up

I just went overboard with the captain jacks dead bug brew...is this stuff forgiving like neem oil? Just wanted to make sure I got everything under leaves and all .. and now it's raining so I can't put em out to get the wind to dry off...so I been fanning em by opening and closing my backdoor over n over. My neighbors prob think I'm crazy :eyesmoke:

These fuckin bugs are relentless..just did a heavy spray of captain jacks dead bug brew last night and come out to look at em today and there was more bugs on it at once than I've ever seen..ended up cutting off 2 big ass damaged fan leaves..hope this helps.

Man, OP is stressing over everything - no need! I use nursey pots I spraypainted flat white and it typically is over 100 dg here most of the summer, they love it! Not sure why rain worries you unless it's strong enough to break the plants. And for outdoors 3 gallon pots are too small, you want at least 10 gallon minimum or you'll be rootbound with small unhealthy plants
