How do you "renew" used super soil?

The remaining fertility will vary based on what variety was grown, how much it was leached, how full of roots/size of the pot/moisture level during grow etc.

I use a PPM meter (.5 ec conversion) to get some idea what is left. mix 100ml of water and 25ml of used soil. check the ppm as soon as it is mixed and then again 24 hours later.

(I happen to be using 150 ppm well water to get these numbers) I aim for 550ppm (immediate) -> 750 ppm (24 hour) for a water only grow without burning. Last run I tried 875ppm and ended up with burnt leaves in early flower but they recovered and look great.

After a grow my buddies roots organic comes out ~300ppm (24 hour) because he leaches every watering. My recycled mix comes out about 500ppm because i don't leach at all. I reamend with fresh EWC, granular grow fert, kelp meal, P guano, azomite. Cook for a month with EC tea and aim for the 750-800 mark.

I wish I knew an easier way but it is very cheap and the soil does seem to get better with age. Good luck!
