I love pawpaws. My buddy is trying to grow them up in Vermont. Crazy how you can grow such a tropical tasting fruit in the northeast.First paw paw from the trees in our backyard, woot! Started from seed in 2019 so more than 5 years in the making...

Heck yeah, love me some paw paws! I wish your buddy luck! Make sure they grow at least 3 and plant them fairly close together, because they need to cross-pollinate in order to produce fruitI love pawpaws. My buddy is trying to grow them up in Vermont. Today and tomorrow (2-27, 2are the best above ground planting days this moon cycle. I was working on reworking last year's potting soil and didn't actually get any seeds in the ground today. But I did take two tomatoes out of the freezer to be used for seed. The Tri L climbing tomato and my Purple Indian f3. Also have grape seed, pepper seeds and lots and lots of citrus to plant.
What kind of citrus? I'm jealous I love citrus, but I can't grow it where I live.and lots and lots of citrus to plant.
I just put them in trays of soil for planting. I only add water. I saved seeds, but toward the end of last season I let some tomatoes got too ripe and froze several of them for planting. Two of those were the ones I used for planting on Friday. The climbing (tri L I think) tomato and the Purple Indian, both f2's.Nice! Do you ferment your tomato seeds, or do anything else special to get them to germinate? I’ve heard they can sometimes require extra steps, so I haven’t tried to save them yet. I transplanted some peppers yesterday, and will prob start tomatoes on st patty’s day.
I have a Chinese orange that is pretty cold resistant. The old guy who gave it to me said it was outlawed because of the cold resistance. (if you could grow juice oranges in Georgia, think what would happen to the Florida juice market) And I have a tangerine that has made it through several cold years. It's really too seedy for easy eating. And it pretty darn tart too. I planted seeds from both of those. And Sister's friend has fruit trees at her house, a satsuma and a grapefruit and I planted each of those. But Cousin Gidget had some of the grapefruit seed too, and she planted hers sooner. She sent me three grapefruit trees yesterday, about four or five inches tall. What kind of citrus? I'm jealous I love citrus, but I can't grow it where I live.
