Hi guys i tried to grow arjans haze#1 but it got out of control with the height so had to cut my losses and start again so i am trying skunk#1 this time but at what height should i put them in for flowering as i dont want to make the same mistake as last time. thanks and Happy new year to all.

You didn't say how much vertical space you actually have. Figure out what the optimal plant size is for your space. I believe Arjans Haze is mostly sativa, so you can realistically expect your plants to triple in height after you switch to 12/12. If you start at 12" tall you have to ask yourself if your space can accommodate a 3ft tall plant, possibly even taller. That doesn't include the height of your pot either. What kind of light are you using? How far do you have to keep it away before heat becomes a problem? What are your average temps?

dude what , no i have a 7 foot high space and grow 6 7 foot tall all the time. i do use a 1000wtt hps though. shit b4 u cut a plant down after babing it 4 so long if u can get another light it would b better

Unless your gonna employ side lighting 6ft is a little extreme for indoors.
If your gonna grow a mainly sativa plant I would flower when it's 6-12 inch to keep it small, use your light more efficiently and save time.
Your skunk shouldn't reach 6ft, unless you veg it forever
You could get away with 12-16 inches before you flower.

Do you mean to say that you killed perfectly good plants because they got too tall? Please tell me you didn't do that. There are very simple methods to fix that and if you did destroy those plants you just cost yourself a pound of weed.

I have grown some monsters myself, and yes a lb of a plant clearly more impressive than 2 ounces. But the guy has just said that he was having problems growing that big. So I offered some advice, and suggested a height at which to flower, which would not result in him having plants he could not control.
That was the information he sought you see, I don't think he wanted to be told he CAN grow big, he wanted to know how to grow SMALLER!
Oh and one last thing, I found out a long time ago that, In the time it takes me to veg and flower a "big" plant indoors, I can turn around 2 crops of smaller plants that all enjoy the same light intensity at the top as at the bottom, and yield just as much in the same timespan, if not more.
I wonder how efficiently your 1k bulb is lighting the bottom of you plant 6ft away? Do You?

I too prefer small, or to be more specific LOTS of small, easy to manage plants that develop minimal side branches and one fat cola. And yield just as much as a big plant in half the time.
