How long do you guys like to veg your plants for ? I’ve currently got a mixed garden . Was debating on a light flip time. Tomorrow makes all my plants a month old at lease. A few nearly two months . Where do you guys feel comfy at ?

When planing my grow I plan on the vegging taking 2 months. It can take shorter or sometimes even longer. But I find 2 months enough most of the time

I go by the rule of flip when your plants are 50 to 60% of the desired height. Most hybrids tend to stretch around double when flipped. Each strain varies but as always longer veg = bigger plants = bigger yields

I veg every plant, autos and photos, for 3 weeks under 24/0 T5HO, then move to a flower tent on 12/12. At three weeks, autos are fixin' to flower and photos stay small...just like I like my bonzai. If ya grow for yeild or bragging, veg photos longer....I grow for quality with yeild not a priority. Not a problem growing hefty plants in small places.

The plants and the available space to grow them in should be the deciding factor. (If your growing photos.) I grow perpetual and have a staggered flower room. I let the plants veg over on the veg side till they almost fill the desired space. (Like 75%-80% full.)Then they go over to flower.

The initial two week stretch usually fills in the rest of the space. I think the key is getting a nice even canopy across a relatively full area. In my opinion any place in the flower room you can see the pots, soil or floor from above is waisted space and waisted light.

Seems like the typical veg time is 6 weeks for a lot . Looks like I’ll hit that for majority of my garden and the rest will get just over two months . Can wait to see what the older ones shape up to be .

I went with the top after 4th node leaving 8 main stems, then LST to let the center fill, taking clones as it grows. Everything I've read points to Veg until the plant is mature, at least 8 weeks from seedling from what I've gathered.

most of my reading have lead me to say a two month minimum three month to be solid . But , until recently I’ve read people have been sending them into veg after a month . Which kinda sparked this thread . Was curious what the popular vote was lol and lst has been a lot of fun .

I've been topping, taking clones, and tying the branches down for 2 months. She's only 2' tall, but 4 feet wide with a shit ton of branches, so it's time to flip her. She's only in a 1 gallon pot so I have to feed/water twice a day. That'll change to 3 or 4 once she blooms. I waited way too long this time, but hey... I'm working from home and isolating, so what else do I have to do. :)
