How long does it take to get good at this?

I’m on my first plant, well three now. Obviously the first plant I have had some issues on. Is it typical to run into deficiency’s here and there with every grow. Does one eventually get skilled enough to run a grow beginning to end with zero issues?

I scour this site on the daily and to try Intake as much info as possible. A lot of conflicting info I must say but I am definitely learning a lot. Just curious if one ever reaches a point where they could grow blind folded.

Coco, elevated tray with a bulkhead for a drain into a pail.Mix up 3-4 gallons of food, this becomes very repetitious as you do it every day or two so its the same.1 EC ....20ml part A 20ml part B, 8ml calmag, 9 drops ph down as an example.Pour 1 gallon into ea pot.Done.Next day same thing so easy anybody can do it..The must is the tray so runoff is easy to deal with.

Id say only 15% of what you read here is good, plenty of articles on coco ,go by those not what you read here.

Id say stick to they way of growing your using at least 2 or 3 runns and work on it, learn from your mistakes, if possible run clones from a strain you liked and did good.

Eventually, by trial and error, you should perfect it.
It can be quite frustrating........and getting different opinions from a variety of growers doesn't make it easy.
Soil.....no coco......no peat........no dwc.........no hempy..........they're all the best. Lol.
What method are you using.........what methods have you tried?

Take a look at my latest journal (in my signature).
Doesn't get more simple than mine.
No ph, no ec, no figuring out ppfd, no checking leaf temp, no setting heights, blah blah blah.

Fabric pots
Good air flow and exchange.
Enough wattage from the wall LED for area.
Sanitary grow area.
I water when they are dry with tap water.
I feed when they need, not by a schedule because all plants are different.

Of course all the bro's get triggered and bash cause I use Miracle-Gro (not organic) both soil and salts nutrients but the plants don't care, they aren't vegan, and the smoke is smooth & fine, as good as any black market I've ever bought.

“Miracle grow”
Get him boys !;)

I think you are speaking of another site cause around here bashing a legitimate crappy way to grow is FF anything
Miracle grow is as good as most

I think the hardest part about growing is finding a good pheno. I just popped and cloned 65 of 2 new strains (to me). Im having problems with some phenos of the new strains.... just bad phenos. The Dosi Whoa! that we've kept the genetics for 2 and a half years is a blind grow... easy. You really have to find a pheno (not a strain) that works with your environment. Because every strain has a different pheno. Takes alot of time and effort, but in the end, you'll find that one that's easy to grow, takes your nutes and environment like a champ, and you KEEP that one. Experiment,.. fail, try again... repeat.

Im having problems with a handful out of 87 that just won't take what I give everything else... trying BitterSweet Haze and Lemon Cane this round, but so far, I hate them. The Dosi (hunted).. looks like an even field of copies.... that's what I want in the end. If I can't find a good candidate mother out of these 2 new strains, I may just run a whole room of Dosi... at least I know what Im going to get.

Also... we keep a log of all the new phenos...... I'll be cloning the best looking ones before the flip, and see how they finish. After labs, and they aren't up to standards, I'll scrap em'. There might be 1 or 2 of the new strains that might be candidates... we shall see.

To the OP...... here's the deal with growing from seeds. "Strain" means nothing other than if its Indica or Sativa leaning. (IF you know of pure, let me know).. But, you have 2 parents, just like seeds do. Some kids (seeds) are gonna be lazy, fat, smart, good looking, introverted, short, tall, retarted, or graduate with a PHD. Same thing with Cannabis. You just have to hunt down that winner, and clone her.

Landrace strains are more even. Hybrids like everything out now has multiple phenotypes.

Are the Dosi's all from different seeds?
No... I found this Dosi pheno about 2 and a half years ago.. been cloning her ever since. I noticed this one Dosi out of about 40 that just killed it in veg, flower, yield,... I had cloned about half of the seeds, and luckily, I cloned the right one. She's been a great producer!. Last plants of Dosi averaged 312g per.
