How long until harvest? (Pics)

Tangerine Dream preflowers appeared Aug 23. Trichomes are mainly cloudy on the buds. Grew it outdoors and its "advertised" to be ready to harvest at the end of october. Anyone know how this plant is looking right now and in approx how many days/weeks I should chop 'er down? Thanks.

Also, I've read some people put their plants in complete darkness for ~48 hours prior to harvesting it. What is the reasoning for this?

I say 2-3 more weeks, looks like it has alot more swelling to do.

Wait till more then 85% of the white hairs turn amber, but other then that the plant looks beautiful!

I know you're getting anxious dude, but everybody said 2 weeks to a month and I agree.
They still have a lot of bulking up to do.
Be patient, you will be glad later!

Your plant looks very well taken care of. I'm growing tangerine dream myself (first timer) in a bubblebucket system. I'm looking forward to seeing her look like yours. She's nowhere near it but I'm getting anxious too.
